Time skip 7 years
Naruto is now 12 years old. He and Sayoko have been training super hard these past few years and are in at mid chunnin level already. Naruto is a seals master that can rival the fourth Hokage thanks to Kurama's help.
It was the day of the graduation test, Naruto passed and became rookie of the year with Sayoko in second. This made Mizuki who was one of Naruto's sensei angry because he wanted the "kyubii brat" killed. He decided to steal the forbidden scroll and blame it on Naruto and then take to scroll to his lord Orochimaru
But unfortunately to Mizuki's bad luck the Hokage got a tip that there was gonna be a theft from Naruto so he increased the security. Mizuki got caught and with the help of Ibiki and Anko they were able to find out one of Orochimaru's hide out.
The Hokage listed this as Naruto's first B rank mission as the scroll contains several S ranked kinjutsu.
It was now the day of separating the genin into its three man squad. And Naruto was excited and hopes that Sayoko was in his team
