Nervous pt 1

Stuart's POV
"Is it that easy to tell?" I ask my whole team except for Y/N.

She is currently late, so we are waiting for her and simultaneously talking about how I apparently can't mask my feelings.

"Of course, I mean come on it's so obvious." Neha is quick to reply. "You always go really quiet when she's around and you always stare at her"

"Yeah and you always blush whenever she says anything to you!" Billy adds and ironically,I feel my cheeks start to heat up.

"But hey, this isn't a bad thing. All you need to do is man up and ask Y/N out!" Nick joins in.

"ARE YOU CRAZY??!!" I quickly interject. "I COULD NEVER TELL Y/N HOW I FEEL!!"

Y/N POV
Oh dear, I'm so late I really hope my team don't get mad.

Ok it's not that bad I can see the door now. And I can hear them talking so hopefully they won't be too mad.

"But hey, this isn't a bad thing. All you need to do is man up and ask Y/N out!"

Woahhh, wait what?!

"ARE YOU CRAZY??!! I COULD NEVER TELL Y/N HOW I FEEL!!" I hear Stuart say.

Oh wow, Stuart likes me? I don't even know how to react. I mean...wow, I have never even thought about him like that. Wait, is this a joke. It can't be a joke they don't even know I'm listening. Wait they don't even know I'm listening. I should go in and tell them I heard... I mean that's the right thing to do.. Right?

"What why not?" I hear Nick ask Stuart

Ok maybe I'll just listen to a bit more. I know it's rude to eavesdrop but... I mean come on they are talking about me so I have right to listen.

Stuarts POV
I can't believe Nick doesn't understand.

"She is way out of my league!! Have you seen her?? She is so gorgeous, beautiful, cute, pretty, adorable and not to mention she is so smart. She always looks so perfect all the time and she has a witty comeback to everything. She always seems to smell amazing and I know I can't be the only one who feels this way about her; infact I bet all the guys here like her too. So tell me Nick why would she ever like me??"

Everyone stays silent for awhile until Lyle chimes in "maybe she'll surprise you" And just as he finished Y/N walked in.

I stared at her, hoped to god she didn't hear any of that and I started to blush.

Y/N POV
Oh my, that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me. Ok I really need to talk to Stuart about this... alone. I mean I can't talk about something this personal infront of everyone, so I guess I'll have to talk to him about it later. Ok for now I'll just pretend I didn't hear any of that. That's the right thing to do and I'm not technically lying...right?

I walk in and everyone turns and stares at me and out the corner of my eye I see Stuart blush. "What? Did I do something? Oh wait are you all really mad I'm late? I'm so sorry I just-"

"No, no it's fine Y/N! But you didn't by any chance happen to hear what we were talking about, did you?" Neha quickly blurts out and everyone turns to stare at her and I see Stuart giving her a death glare. She just shrugs at them and smiles sweetly up at me.

"No, why? What were you talking about?" I acted clueless

"Oh nothing, it doesn't matter. Anyway lets get to work" Lyle stands up and says. And I swear, out of the corner of my eye I saw Stuart let out a subconscious sigh of relief.
