Old love: Zaroon and Kashaf Ss

The meeting

"Oh I am extremely sorry."
He apologised looking at the tiny figure in front of him. Without getting a reply he continued
"Come i'll buy you a new one."
"N...no thank you."
"Ummm..why not? Since i dropped your ice cream i must buy you another one."
"I don't take things from strangers."
"Well. I am just compensating.."
Before he could complete he heard a shrill voice coming from behind.
"Maham.Tum yaha ho? Maine apko gate pe khade rehne ko kaha tha.."
She went mute seeing the figure in front of him
"Za-r-o-o-n."
She managed.
"Kashaf."
He replied with his eyes gleaming with happiness.
"Kaisi ho?"
He added.
"Main bilkul theek hoon. Tum kaise ho?"
She asked with a shivering voice.
"Kashaf tumne shaadi kya kar li ek dum hi bhul gayi mujhe. Ek phone tak karne ki zehmat nahi ki tumne. Itne bure dost to nahi the hum."
Hearing him talk about marriage,her face lost its colour.
"Meri beti hai ye Maham. Jisse tum pehle hi mil chuke ho shayad."
"Haan inse toh main mil chuka hoon aur tumhare husband?"
He said while caressing Maham's hair.
"Meri baat choro tum apni batao. Mrs.Zaroon Junaid kaha hai?"
He looked down smiling a bit.
"Maine shaadi nahi ki Kashaf."
"Shaadi nahi ki? Kyun?"
"Khair ab main yeh toh tumhe nahi bataunga."
He said winking.
"Mumma please hum ghar chal sakte hai?"
"Zaroon phir mulakat hogi."
"Haan agar tum phir gayab na ho jao to."
The small conversation between them had tremendous power to bring back all the memories,all the good days spent together and all those tough moments which they had gone through in the past.

"Kashaf tum itni dur kyu hogayi mujhse? Kyu akhir kyu main tumhe apne dil ki baat nahi bata paya? Kaash bata diya hota toh shayad aaj tum mere saath hoti aur Maham hamari beti hoti. Lekin main kya karta? I was helpless simply helpless. Mujhe tumhari feelings ke bare mein zara bhi andaza nahi tha."
Zaroon kept thinking about his meeting with Maham and Kashaf and Kashaf too couldn't help but think about him
"Zaroon tumhe dekh ke aaj bohot saari cheezein yaad ayi hai mujhe. Kaash tum us roz mera haath tham lete. Kaash mera intezar zaya nahi jata. Magar isme tumhari koi galti nahi hai. Maine apne mohabat ka kabhi izhar hi nahi kiya aur kya pata shayad tumne mujhse kabhi mohabbat hi nahi ki."
