8. journey ( part 1 )

I had the same dream once again. At the edge of this endless desert that blinding city always vanishes before I can ever reach it. To get to that place I must reach. I'm about to be on my way. Danger always lurks on greater adventures.

Hana POV

It is been about one and a half year i stuck in this country or more specific in this hospital in Seoul. But guess what? I never have any chance to explore this country. All of my time is in the hospital with patients,medicine ,thesis,report,research and if i want to tell people about all of that maybe one year is not enough to describe how busy i am. Well,you see how much my precious time in here. To make things more complicated,i also put about a year of my life sleeping at hospital. I have to work twenty four hours without stop. With many cases lately,all of them make me want to explode. Once we had to receive many people with different injury because of the one tragic accident that include the school bus that took about forty people had been crashed with lorry trailer. How tragic it is. The lorry driver was died in the way to the hospital and the rest had minor and major injury. I still remember that tragic day.

Hana POV

Today i have many works to do. Patients that come never decrease. I was so tired. I did not have enough sleep this week. I am so lucky because my team mate was always understand how busy i am and how tired i am. They always be by my side. Give the sweetest smile. I know they also tired. But with them i feel that my energy was refill back. Tonight,there was not had any cases. So i was on my way to the room that had in the hospital that only for doctors that had to stayed and sleep here. I was about to sleep but suddenly i felt my phone was vibrating. I took my phone and see who the person that calling me and it was byun baekboom.

" professor hana. Where are you?". Byun said. With his voice i know something bad was happened.

" byun,why are you panicked? Had something happen? I was in my room". I stated.

" prof,i think you should went to the emergency room right now because we had to handle the cases".

" byun,slow down. Tell me what cases?" I asked him while running as fast as i can to emergency room.

" school bus accident. We receive about forty person. Thirty four of them had minor injury and six of them had major injury. They had to undergo the operation as fast as can because they lost many of bloods". Byun explained to me.

" okay. I will be there as fast as i can. Do whatever to stop the bleeding. Get it? "

"Okay prof" .he said and off the conversation.

When i arrived at the emergency room,it have many people and blood there. The sound of crying,screaming because of pain and some of them was praying was heard. I see many blood tonight. Oh god,i hope i can save all of them. I went to byun who was busy to stop the bleeding of patients. I have to lead six operation tonight. Five was success and they was saved. I have to undergo only one operation left. The patient was girl. She was eight years old. She had serious injury. A pieces of mirror was buried in her chest. She was lucky because it was not buried on her heart. Me and my taem was tried as much as we could to saved her.

" prof,her blood level decrease." One of the team that with me said.

I look at her and she had internal bleeding.

" byun,clean at this place. I can't see the wound". I said to byun that was in front of me.

" prof,her oxygen level was decreased". One of the other team guy said to me.

I tried my best to not panicked and be calmed as i can. In this situation i had to be expert. I tried to search the bleeding point when after that i heard a long beep sound from the machine that show the beep of heart. God,please help me this one time. I had to saved her. But nothing in this world can change about death destiny. She died. I didn't had any chance to saved her. She died.

" Park Hera. One a.m. died because of internal injury." One of the paramedic said and record her death.

I tried to not cry. This was my first time. First time i failed to save a person. First time i have to heard that a person who i supposed to save was died. I tried my best to not cry in front of my team. I'm sorry Park Hera. I failed to save you.

I run away from operation room. I don't know what to feel. Right now what i needed was the place that no one there. Rooftop. Yes,rooftop. I reached at the rooftop and sat at one corner. I cried as much as i can. I don't care now. Beside no one here can hear me crying.

" I'm sorry. I failed to save you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. " only that words that i could said right now. I felt guilty. I wasn't able to save her life.
I cried and cried until i felt a pair of hand pulled me to his embrace.

" I'm sorry sunbae. I know i was not suppose to embrace you or touch you but i think you need me here. You need someone to calm you." He said. I know who was that.

" byun,i failed. I killed her". I told him.

" shhh..no you not. Her destiny said she had to die. It wasn't your fault sunbae" he said to make me calm.

After a minute i released his embrace.
" im sorry i made your shirt wet because of my tears.

" it's okay sunbae. As long as you okay it doesn't matter to me. I can change the shirt after this". He stated.

" thank you byun. You help me a lot."

" sunbae,you dont have to thanks to me. You was like my sister. "

I smiled to him. That night was very a bad night for me.
