I don't understand John.

"But no cause of death? How could that be possible?"John's voice floats over Sherlock's attention, it's the only thing he wanted to hear, even talking about death, but his voice wasn't the only one in that kitchen.

"That's why we need you and Sherlock to come down here and tell us! I thought you said you'd at least have him on the phone? It's been an entire day and we aren't any closer to solving this."

"Well, Lestrade, as soon as my husband and I are back on British soil we'd be happy to help but until then, you've got to figure it out for yourself, goodbye!"Sherlock reaches for the laptop and as John bats his hand away, he snakes a second around him and ends the call. His husband is beyond angry with him, trying desperately to turn it back on, but Lestrade is offline and it's too late. He turns his anger on his lover.

"How can you be so heartless that you can't even listen to him for a moment? He's asking for your help, Sherlock!"John shouts, he doesn't pay any mind to his enraged spouse and instead makes coffee. "Listen to me!"

"I am listening to you, John, I always listen to you. It just happens that your logic is incorrect, since you pointed out how I do in fact have a heart since I married you."

"You can have a heart and not care at the same time!"

"Yes, but I do love you, I just don't care about this case."

"SHERLOCK!"He screams, yanking the coffee mug from his hand and dropping it in the sink, now he had his attention, but they were both angry and rarely anything was acomplished when they were both angry. "You don't even know what the case is!"

"I know that there was a cause of death they haven't discovered yet, it's not so difficult, John, they just have to observe, if they opened their pathetic minds for just a moment they would see -"

"Oh, why do I even bother with you!"John stomps from the house and leaves Sherlock in a confused state, he could understand murder and love and even sex, but no amount of time spent between them could ever allow him to understand John. His power of deduction gave him no insight on his lover's actions because despite his personality and behavior, he could act out in such a strange and unwarranted way that he was completely unpredictable. Yet Sherlock chose to love him.

But the only question that begs to be answered is simple: should he go after John?

I'm sure he'll find his way back. He thought to himself, He always does.
