Chapter 2: The steam ride to Hogwarts

Rosie wakes up to the sound of claws on her door. Her heart skips a beat. It is a new kitten! She knew her mom went to Diagon Alley, but did not know that her mom got her a kitten! It was small and fluffy with bright white fur. She knew right away that it's name would be Callie! Rosie dressed quickly in a pink frilly dress and a purple flower headband. She scooped up Callie and headed down stairs got brea

Rosie's mummy and daddy drove her in a robins egg blue car to Kings Cross. The train station was magnificent!! Even though Rosie lives in a muggle house and on a muggle street, she didn't know that there could be this amount of muggles in one place at the same time! Her daddy stopped to talk to this family with brilliantly any orange hair. Neville new the family. They were the Weasly family, having  also children entering their first year at Hogwarts. They stopped at a brick wall indicating the 9 and 10 stations. Rosie heard from her dad that you have to run into a wall, but she thought he was just joking. Jillian, which is Rosie's mummy, told her that you run in between the brick wall and you will arrive at the Hogwarts express! Rosie was very nervous having to push her trolley with her. 

"On the count of three, I will run with your trolley and you can go beside me. How's that?" Jillian states. 

"Yes mummy! Thank you so much! I was really scared!" Rosie went over and gave her mummy the trolley cart.

" One." Rosie took a deep breath. " Two, three!!" Rosie and her mum ran through the brick wall and soon to be followed by Neville.

"It wasn't that bad. Right?" Rosie's mum asks.

"Easy as pie! As the muggles say..." But Rosie was distracted by the toot toot of a steam train. It was beautiful, scarlet with letters spelling out HOGWARTS EXPRESS on it. 

"Wow!" Rosie says in awe. "This will be so fun!"

Her mummy and daddy walk her to the train door.

We live be you Rosie. Have a great year at Hogwarts, have so much fun, but don't get into trouble!" Her father tells her.

Rosie laughs. "I'll try to!" She hugged her parents good by and went in to the train. There were glass doors separating the different train compartments. She saw a compartment tha had a girl in tears. Rosie thought this girl was a first year, so she walked in. 

"Hi!" Rosie said sitting down accords from the girl." I'm Rosie." She didn't want to be too jumpy.
