The Midnight Dream

Is this real?

Emma is 15 years of age and she loves using her imagination to create her own things. She lives in California with her mother because her dad cheated on Emma's mom for a girl he worked with. Emma's mom has been feeling down ever since then. Emma and her mom live in San Diego, California in a two story house by the ocean.
  Emma was just done with eating dinner and she is ready for bed. Her mom comes in and says good night and gives a kiss on her forehead. Emma says "goodnight mom and smiles" Emma's mom closes the door and shuts off the light. Emma closes her eyes and tried to go to sleep for about 20 minutes. When she fell asleep there was complete silence in the dark room.
  Emma then started to think about a land of green with a castle of beautiful colors. Then she opened her eyes and she saw a path leading to a gate. Emma said "where am i?" She thought she was having a dream so she pinched herself and she was still by the gate on the path. She didn't know what to think so she walked up to the gate and pushed it. The gate was open and she walked right through. The path looked like it leaded to nowhere but she followed it anyways. As Emma was looking around at the scene and there were big green trees and colorful flowers. "This place is amazing" said Emma. She didn't know what to think of it.
  Then as she walked on the path for a while she saw white puffs of smoke coming from a far distance. Emma got curious and wandered off to follow the smoke. As she got closer she saw what the white smoke was coming from. It was a girl younger than Emma that was poorly clothed and looked very lonely. Emma walked up to her and said "hi... um are you ok?" The girl looked at me and had tears coming from her eyes. Emma wanted to help to she sat next to the girl and tried having a conversation with her. "Are you alone?" Emma said. "Yes" said the little girl. Emma asked if she had family or friends and the little girl said no. "I can be your friend" said Emma with a bright smile on her face. The girl wiped her tears off her face and then said "that would be delightful. Emma introduced herself. "What is your name?" Said Emma. "My name is Layla"
"That is a pretty name"said Emma.
"Thanks" said Layla with a smile came to her face.
  "Where do you come from?" Said Layla.
  "A place far away from here... how about you?" said Emma.
  "I have no idea actually" said Layla
  "How do you not know?" Emma said.
  "my parents abandoned me when I was just a little girl and I haven't seen them ever since" Layla said with a sad face.
  "hey you can think of me as your sister if you want to join me" said Emma with a smile on her face.
  "I would love that" Layla said smiling at Emma.
  "How old are you?" Emma asked.
  "I am 15 years of age now, how about you?" Layla asked.
  "I am 15 as well" Emma said as she is smiling at Layla
  "It's pretty hungry" Layla said
  "Yeah me too.....We can see if there is a town or a place nearby" Emma said.
  "Count me in!" Layla said proudly.
  The two friends began to walk on a the trail to seek any place with food, water, and a place to stay. Will they find what they are looking for? You will find out when I make the second part.
