Neveah
Laughing as Oliver explained his story of how he got his sexy fireman, I wiped the tears that were streaming down my face.
"How does one accidentally spill tea on the electrical cord?" I asked once calm.
"Easy you see you the office slut making copies and you decided, hey let's make that hard for her." He smiled sweetly.
"God your so petty," Danni whined.
"Excuse me miss petty Betty I'm not the one who bought a drink for everyone at the table and forgot to get one for the birthday girl." He stated.
"What is was her birthday she could afford it," Danni shrugged.
"Afford it or cause Greg was with her?" I smirked.
"Please either way what I did was not petty if you say yours want petty," Oliver smiled.
Rolling my eyes at the two of them my phone went off picking it up an unknown number had texted me.
Hey Veah sweetheart I'm sorry for how I acted. Can we talk about what happened when you get a chance?
Confused I tried to think of who this could be.
"Sweetheart! Veah you got some secret man!" Oliver yelled from behind me causing me to jump.
"Damnit Ollie you scared the crap outta me and no I don't have a secret man." I explained.
"Then who is this calling you sweetheart?" He questioned hands crossed over his chest.
"Chill it's my mom she got a new number." I easily lied.
"Oh," he pouted.
"Thought you were finally getting some," he mumbled but I still heard.
After hearing Ollie say boyfriend I realized it was Noah who texted me. Shooting him back a quick text saying I would call him later, I looked up to see Dumb and Dumber smiling at me.
"You know what Oliver said is true," Dannie started.
"You need a man and I know just the place to get you one." Oliver said giddy bouncing in his seat.
"Peter's Hoe House is not somewhere I wanna find a man." I said dryly.
Danni not ready for my rendition of Peter's House died laughing on the couch tears streaming down her face.
"I-I-I can't," she blubbered in between breaths.
"That's not funny Peter is a lovely man it's just the people who hang out in the nice establishment have a record." Oliver defended.
"Yeah ok."
"And before I was rudely interrupted I was gonna say the coffee shop down the street has a poetry slam on the weekends." He suggested.
"Um no let me stop you there, I don't want a man who is so deep in his feelings he doesn't pay attention to mines." I started off shooting down the idea.
"Or one who takes stuff to literal and his opening in to a conversation is do you think the glass is half empty," Danni butt in trying to be apart of something.
Though not gonna leave her hanging I high fived giving the props she deserved. Danni knew me well enough to know my likes and dislikes in a man.
"Well sorry for trying to give you a love life," Oliver pouted.
"It's ok Oliie when I get a man you'll be the first to know." I said trying to smooth things over.
"Ok." He smiled happy again.
But in the back of my mind my stupid subconscious was letting me know I did indeed have a new man in my life, to bad no one was gonna find it about it.
