Chapter 4

J:

"Julia!!!" I hear Josh calling. "Ang bagal mo naman! Andito na si Quen!!"

"Teka lang! Nagbibihis pa eh." I called back.

I heard my phone ring.

"Hello?"

"Jul.. May sakit ako. Di ako makakasama ngayon."

"Ha? What? Ano sakit mo?"

"39 degrees temperature ko ngayon. Really need to stay home.. Sorry Jul ah? Pero kasama mo naman si Quen, diba?'

"Ah.. Oo.. Don't worry about me. Okay ka lang ba?"

"Kailangan lang ng pahinga siguro.."

"Sige, get well soon! Sorry you had to miss out. Kwentuhan nalang kita!"

"That's okay. Sige, aasahan ko yan!"

We hung up.

Stuck with him again.

"JULIA!!!"

"Eto na! Pababa na!!"

Q:

"Kung makatawag naman tong si Josh, kala mo sasama. Atat na atat!" Julia says, while coming down the stairs.

She was wearing a hoodie and skinny jeans, paired with Chucks. Ganda niya, sobra. Di na kailangan mag-dress or heels. Sobrang noticeable ng ganda niya.

"Quen!"

I didn't notice I was staring at her for a long time already. I snapped out of my daydreaming. AGAIN.

"Bakit ka nanaman ganyan makatingin? May mali nanaman ba sa suot ko?" She said.

"Ganyan lang susuotin mo?" I said, pointing at her clothes.

"Oo. Bawal? Di naman yun formal event ah."

"So? Andun si Ryan."

She slapped me and her eyes turned to Josh. Oops, I forgot that Josh didn't know.

"Ryan? So totoo? Bat di mo sakin sinasabi Jul!!" Josh said.

He caught it.

"Jul, 7PM na. Di'ba 7:30 yung event? Maghahanap pa tayo ng parking space." I said coolly to cut the conversation.

"Panira moment ka naman bro."

Julia pulled my arm. "Tara na Quen! Baka maunahan tayo ng magagandang seats!"

"Sige na bro," I said, grinning. "See you later. Hahatid ko nalang tong si Jul."

"Sige bro, ingat kayo."

J:

"Urghhhh. Paano na yan! Wala si Jen. Now I'm stuck with you." I said, rubbing my head.

"Haha! You're stuck with me." Quen repeated, then he suddenly turned the car around.

"Wait! Quen!! San tayo pupunta?! Ibalik mo yung car!!"

"No. I'm taking you somewhere. It's going to be fun." He said, smirking.

"Quen!!! What the--"

"Just come, okay? I won't kill you or something."

I grabbed my phone and started to dial Josh, when he suddenly took it and stashed it in his pocket.

"Ni phonecalls. Don't you trust me?"

"You won't even tell me where we're going!!!"

"You'll see. Now sit back."

I got tired if screaming, so I just folded my arms and slumped on

my seat. How annoying.

"You're gonna love this place," he said, stopping the car.

"Oh really.."

"Yes, really." He got out of the car. "Follow me," he said.

I followed him. We were at the top of a cliff, with a white beach overlooking. The place was breathtaking, so beautiful.. So relaxing. I wonder why we're here..

I stretched my arms and turned around. "Why are we here?"

I see him with a funny smile on his face. He was looking at me weirdly, then he started walking towards me. "I have to tell you something."

"Ano yun?" I turned around to enjoy the view.

"Ang ganda mo."

"Yeah right, Quen." I said, still letting the cold air brush my hair.

"It's true," he said. Then I feel his arms around my waist. He turned me around. I find my nose touching his, and I see his eyes closed with his mouth forming a small smile.

"I like you, Jul."

I looked at his eyes. "What?"

"I like you, for the longest time. I might have even been loving you already." He opened his eyes.

I was so speechless. Quen likes me. I smiled. We've been liking each other all this time.

"Well?" He said. Looking worried. I held his hand and looked at him. Then, I kissed him.

"I love you, Jul."

I smiled.
