I quickly wiped a tear from my eye as I walked through the sliding doors of the school . "Kayla?" I hear someone call out . "Don't run around , don't turn around." I said to myself as they appeared in front of me . "Woah Kayla come here." Matt said before dragging me into his arms . "You alright?" He asked still holding me in his arms . "Wait , let me do this differently." He said causing me to lightly chuckle as I removed myself from his arms and adored his eyes and that sharp ass jawline . "Damn." I said u set my breathe . "What's wrong?" He asked leaning his head to the side .  I looked outside to my car where I had my own reserved parking spot . "You wanna leave?" He laughed . "I'll come with." He said as I nodded slowly to his words . As we entered the car it was 3:30 which means I was a hour late to pick up my siblings ."Damn it," I said texting Ken to not text mom and that I'm on my way . You would've thought I learned my lesson from the last time I showed up 3 hours late because of a guy .

As I locked my phone I let out a huge huff . "Bad day?" Matt said placing a hand on my thigh . "You can tell?" I said pulling one piece of hair behind my ear and one hand on the wheel . We both chuckled . This is something I needed . Something healthy for me . As we pulled up to Sumville Elementary , the brats quickly loaded the car with their little friends . "And who is this?" I asked in confusion . "humans." Ken said while sticking out his tongue . "Okay listen you little-" Matt quickly jumped in and said , "Alright who's up for McDonald's?" He said while winking at me as I gave him the death glare . "MEEEE!" They all squealed like babies when they're actually 9 & 10 year olds . As I was cruising down the street to go to McDonald's I see a missed call from Kaleb . My heart starts beating fast and I see a text message appear on my lock screen .
