"What do you mean your pregnant Renee!?", "I mean that I'm having your baby Daniel" she replied, "a-are you sure, did you take a test?" I asked, "yes Daniel, twice they both came back positive" she replied. I sat down next to her taking a deep breath , "Daniel I'm scared, we graduate in three months, what are we gonna do ? How are we gonna tell our parents ?" She asked worriedly, " I don't know, we'll figure it out somehow I promise" I replied grabbing her hand and holding it reassuringly. This was all happening to fast , Renee and I had met each other in high school and have been dating ever since. We both had got excepted to the same college I for law Enforcement and she for Business administration in marketing. I was supposed to be starting police academy the month right after we graduate, but I feel as if that all may change.

"You got her pregnant?!" My father shouted "dad-" I started to say but he cut me off "no because how irresponsible could you be?, did you even think for a second your supposed to graduate in THREE months and heading off going to police academy right after? But Noooooo you went and got your girlfriend PREGNANT !" He shouted , "Jonathan calm down" my mother said, "look I know i have a lot of things set for me in the future but that doesn't change the fact that Renee is pregnant and soon we'll have a child" I said. My father was the captain of the police precinct that hopefully I would be working for after I graduate, my father was very strict growing up, he always wanted me to follow in his footsteps, but now things weren't going to well. " I've worked to hard to get you where you are now and you are not going to mess this up ! What's makes you think you're ready to be a father huh ?" He said, I gritted my teeth "Maybe I'm not ready to be a father but I'm going to learn how to be one and I don't need you telling me things that I already know!" I shouted, "who the hell do you think you're talking to ?" My father asked moving closer to me. I clenched my jaw getting ready to say something but my mother stepped in between us "ok that's enough you two, now Daniel is she keeping the baby ?" She asked, "yes of course she is" I said looking at my mother

Renee's pov

"This is not what I sent you off to college for Renee" my mother said shaking her head, " I know Momma, it just happened, we didn't expect this to happen" I replied, " you ain't never heard of protection ?" My sister Adrian asked, "yeah Renee they have those for a reason" my brother Steven chimed in  " shut up Adrian! Mind yo' business, you too Steven" i replied glaring at them "No That's actually a good question, you don't know what protection is Renee" my mother asked, I looked down " yes I do we jus' wasn't thinking about that when it happened I guess" I replied " you guess?!? Renee Marie Scott you done got yo' self into something you can't get out of. What do you plan on doing? Huh? You graduate in three months, wha' you goin' do after that? She said, " I'll figure something out Momma but right now I have to focus on this baby and I need y'all support right now"'I replied "well you have my support" Adrian said, "mine too" Steven agreed. We all looked at my mother for her answer, she took a deep breath " Well I am yo' mother and you are my daughter, you will always have my full support" she said, I smiled widely at her hugging her
" Now does Daniel plan on being in this baby's life?" She asked " Of course he does Momma he said he wants to be there 100%" I replied

Daniel's pov

"How'd it go with your parents?" Renee asked " well my mom didn't react as I thought she would but my father was whole differed story" I replied "what'd your mother say?", "well she of course wasn't to happy at first but she told me I have her my full support plus my brother and my sisters" she replied, "That's good, at least she doesn't wanna kill me" i said laughing a bit, she laughed too "'yeah but your parents probably hate me now" she said " No they don't hate you, they're still processing all of this, but trust me they still love you" I said, " you know I already started thinking of names", "already?" She asked "yeah, I was thinking we should name him after me" I said, "why does it have to be a boy, what if it's girl hmm?" She asked giving me a look me a look causing me to chuckle, "shhh let me finish, now if it's a girl we're gonna name her Skylar" I replied, "hmm Skylar, I love it" she said resting her head on my chest, "I know nice right" I replied "better yet Skylar Kierra Diggins", " That's perfect" she said
