The ship

I get woken up by a knock on my door. I wipe my eyes a bit and get up slowly. Why the heck does someone wanna wake me up in the middle of the night? I open my door and behind it I find Justin. He's fully dressed and seems like he's ready to go somewhere. 

"Justin. What are you doing awake?" I ask. 

"I couldn't sleep. I was thinking too much" he says. 

"About what?"

"The ship. And all the things I don't remember. I just want to remember, Vera."

"Of course. The ship." I roll my eyes. 

"You said we could go check it out at night so that no one sees us."  Justin looks at me like a dog that's trying to beg for food. He's clearly expecting us to go tonight. I'm tired but I can't say no to Justin. It's like saying no to a little child who wants some candy. You just can't say no. 

"Okay. We can go there now. But first I need to change. Wait here" I tell Justin and close the door. I hear Justin sitting down loudly and hitting his back to my wall. Damn he was noisy. I quickly pull on the first pants I find and a black t-shirt. I get a black hoodie from my closet and throw it on. I get back to the door and let Justin in. I close the door behind him and walk to my window.

"Are you ready?" he asks. I nod. "Okay. Let's go then." He opens my door and steps out side. I roll my eyes.

"Justin. We can't go from the front door." Justin comes back in and looks at me confusedly. "We'd wake Steve and mom up."

"What are we gonna use then if not the front door? Do you have a back door or something?" Justin says closing the door and walking to me. 

"Well... We're gonna go out from my window" I say laughing a bit. I open my window and jump out. Justin hesitates. "Come on. Do you wanna come or not?" Justin looks at my door and takes a deep breath. He walks to the window and jumps outside. I close the window behind him, leaving it unlocked so we get in when we come home. "It wasn't that hard, right?" I tease Justin and start walking. Justin rolls his eyes and walks after me.

"Are we gonna go by foot?" he asks.

"No, silly. We're gonna go with bikes" I say and get Steve's bike and my bike from our backyard. I give Justin Steve's bike and hop on my bike's saddle. "Ready to go?" 

"Yeah" Justin says and nods and we get on going.

"I'm gonna stay here and make sure no one comes. You can do research and your stuff in peace. If something happens or if somethings wrong just shout and I'll come there okay?" I tell to Justin. He nods and disappears into the ship. I sit down and lean on the metal frame of the ship. 

I still can't believe that I am in this situation. I just sneaked an alien out from my rooms window and now I'm on a mission to find his memories from his spaceship. And on the top of everything, I might have a crush on the alien. I really want that he gets his memories back but at the same time I'm afraid. What if he remembers that he already has someone? Or if he decides to leave? I don't want that. I want him to stay. 

My thoughts are broken by the sound of footsteps. I slowly get up. The sound comes from the other side of the ship. I walk quietly to look is it Justin or someone else. I'm about to look who is there but I decide to stay hidden when I hear a deep man voice speaking.

"I'm sure I hear something from here" the man says. 

"Well there's no one in sigh" a woman voice answers. "Maybe you were wrong. Wouldn't be the first time." Something drops inside the ship. Justin really picked the perfect timing to make a sound. 

"Hear that? I said someone's here" the man says. I need to come up with something and fast. They can't find Justin. 

"Vera!" Justin shouts. I hear people running into the ship. I hear something hitting against the metal core of the ship. I run inside and see Justin being trapped by the two people I heard talking. 

  ☆ Sorry sorry and once again sorry. I'm so sorry it took this long  to update and I know I promised to write this every week or once in two weeks but I've just been so busy and I have some personal stuff going on and I haven't had the time to write this. My summer vacation starts soon so I'll have more time to write then. But I'll try to be more active with this story before that too.
