The Light In Her Eyes

Nathan's Choice

Violet was dead, yet she wasn't gone

Nathan had two choices, forget her and move on or fight for her and bring her back

Nathan set her down on his bed and turned his back, as he walked towards the door, Nathan could hear his heart slow down

"I can't" he whispered to himself

He instantly turned back towards violet

"I will not give up on you, I can't I must fight for you, because deep down I know that we are meant to be together"

There was only one way that he could bring her back and he had to hurry time was running out

Nathan stood beside violet and gently took her hand "Violet I don't know if you can hear me or not but don't worry my darling I will bring you back"

"I have already given her my blood and it seems she rejected it if not she would have already changed"

"There is only one way i can do this" Nathan thought to himself

He grabbed violet and went outside to grab James as well

He took off and flew them both to a clearing in the forest nearby

He set both of them down and thought to himself "I never thought I'd have to do this, specially not for a single person, but I will not let her disappear"

Nathan made a cut on his palm with his wing, he took off his shirt and wrote seven symbols on his chest with his blood

Nathan steadied his breath "this is gonna hurt but I have no other choice"

Nathan put his hands in front off him and put his fist in his palm

He closed his eyes breathed and yelled "GATE OF WRATH SHATTER"

One of the symbols on his chest glowed a bright red, the earth trembled as nathan unlocked his power but unlocking his power came at a price, nathan screamed in agony as the symbol burned into his chest

Nathan sighed "alright one down six to go"

Nathan readied himself again closed his eyes and yelled once more "GATE OF PAIN SHATTER"

Another symbol started glowing red, he screamed and yelled as lightning flowed all through his body

Nathan was now breathing hard and still in agonizing pain

"I can't stop" he thought to himself "I must bring her back, I have to"

Nathan looked bad and could barely stand at this point but he was determined to this, so once more he closed his eyes breathed and yelled "GATE OF PEACE SHATTER"

Nathan didn't feel the pain this time he only felt calm as his entire body was slowly covered in blue flames and his symbol vanished

Just as there were costs to unlocking his power there were also gains

Nathan felt good his wounds were healing and his power was immense

Yet it was not enough, he needed more

Nathan got in position again "GATE OF WAR SHATTER"

The power was so much that Nathan couldn't feel the pain but the symbol still burned into him and the fire surrounding him became darker

Nathan was close but the last gates were very dangerous to open if he lost concentration for even one of them he would instantly die and the power would destroy anything in its path for miles

Nathan was scared but without that power he could do nothing to bring her back

He got ready and closed his eyes, he hesitatited he didn't know if he could, but he had to

"GATE OF DEATH SHATTER"

His power grew immensely his pain was agonizing and he was engulfed in pure darkness as his symbol burned into him, the pressure of the power broke his ribs, he knew he couldn't give up but he was at the edge of consciousness barely holding on

Nathan had to hurry before he was consumed by the agonizing pain

"GATE OF LIFE SHATTER"

His wounds healed but the pain did not leave him, his symbol disappeared and his power shot straight into the sky causing a giant beam of light that could be seen for miles

He was in so much pain that he could barely move, he started losing consciousness, he was so close yet so far

"NO I will not quit, not until I have her back" Nathan stood tall and ready

"Here goes nothing"

"EQUILIBRIUM GATE SHATTER"

His power skyrocketed, his pain at its limit, his fire covered by light, his lightning engulfed in darkness, his eyes crimson red, his wings bigger sharper and brighter than ever before, this was Nathan's true power

Nathan aimed his arms at Violet and James, he poured as much of his power into them as he could

"Wake up!" He yelled "Wake up now!" Nathan was at his limit he was losing consciousness fast and giving them so much power wasn't helping him at all

They both shot up gasping for air

"YES" Nathan yelled in excitement

They stood up as if nothing had happened to them

"You alright violet?"

"Yes" she said while getting up

"James?"

"I'm alright nate thanks"

"Good" Nathan said as his eyes rolled back and he lost consciousness
