Lottie POV

Cora and I waltzed out of school with our arms bruised but our heads held high, we were the feared twins and nobody thought they could stand in our way. To be honest, if anyone had punched our arms on any other day apart from today and we would be in jail.....hehe

Cora sat on a wall and pulled on her ginger wig, smirking at me as she did so. Cora was my parents 'golden child' and the sun shined out her ass as far as they were concerned. Mother always thought, because we were so close, that Cora's high grades and kind hearted nature might rub off on me.

Lets just say, i quickly stopped that altercation!

I saw Carl across the street and quickly pulled Cora into an alleyway, where we bumped into a woman in a black cloak. Cora apologized and pulled me further into the alleyway, we could see our home from where we were stood.

I felt a shiver down my spine, someone was watching us. Bit cliche, don't you think? Two innocent looking girls walking down a dark alleyway where nobody can hear us scream?

I heard footsteps, "Hazer!" I heard a shout. I push Cora behind a dumpster as a rush of water came flying at us, I don't know why i did it.

I felt like someone took over my body, "Aquelis!" I cried, throwing my arm out. A figure rose from the water, throwing a sphere at the attacker.

I screamed and dragged Cora down the alleyway, to the house and slammed the door shut. I pressed my forehead against the cool glass of the window; my clothes were soaked.

I felt Cora tug on my shirt, i looked down and she had a hand covering her mouth. Her face was drowning in shock and horror. The house was a mess.

Dear Cora and Lottie,

We took your parents, you have two months to find them before they are no more.

Learn your magic darlings, for only that will save you....

Love, Your worst nightmare!

The note was pinned to the book my parents gave me; i was so confused. Magic doesn't excist...

Then what happen in the alleyway?

I hate my conscious, it always makes sense.
