It crawls like a leech on my skin,
Squirms and slides while it's dim.
It looks at me like an old friend;
It'll be with me 'til the end.
It hugs me and sucks me all night
And I'm never afraid it'll bite.
I love to feel its texture,
Rough and oily in equal measure.
It meets all the parts of my body but
It makes close friends with my cornea.
As I lay there in blissful defeat,
From the inside it begins to eat.
