"Jasmine, what're you doing?" the figure asks me, who I now recognize as Cas.

"I came to look for you" I sigh in relief, ready to ask him what he was doing before I spot the two bloody corpses lying on the concrete in the distance.

"Don't tell Dean"
-

After Cas explained to me that he didn't want to waste anymore time finding the bastards that were killing innocent people, I ask what he wants me to say to Dean.

"The job is done, what do we do now? We can't just let them go looking for something that isn't there," I say, looking around the dark parking lot, "why can't I just tell Dean?"

"He seemed overjoyed with this case. Now I've gone and ruined it" he almost frowns, looking back to the werewolves he's killed.

"Well, you figure this out then" I turn around and sulk back to the hotel room, only wanting to go back to sleep at this point.

I slowly open the door to the motel in attempt to not make any noises before I crawl back in bed beside Sam, who scoots closer to me after a minute.
A few hours pass by while I'm reading a magazine that was left on the nightstand, and soon enough, it's four in the morning.
It doesn't take but an accidental kick to the shin for Sam to wake up, and I can tell he's completely confused when he notices his arm wrapped around me and my back pressed to his front.

"I'm- I'm sorry" he halfway chuckles in a raspy voice before pulling away from me.

"No no, it's fine! Great, actually" I mutter the last part, sitting up to push the stray hairs out of my face.

My hair isn't too long, it rests right on my shoulders, so any time I try to put it up, it ends up falling back down eventually.

"It's pretty cold in here anyway, I could use the warmth" I laugh, and he laughs too.

Shrugging, he says, "well, in that case" and wraps his big arms around me to pull me back down and into his chest.

"Would you two lovebirds keep it down?" Dean groans from the other bed, before quickly realizing that Cas isn't sitting on the bed next to him, "where's Cas?"

I shrug and look up at Sam, who is equally as confused as Dean is.
I should just tell them.

"maybe he's out getting us some breakfast" Dean suggests, not knowing how early it is. I nod in response.

"Well, in the meantime" he sighs, closing his eyes again to meet sleep.

"It really is cold in here" Sam says, tightening his grip on me in the slightest.

I hum in agreement, only wishing to stay right here for the rest of the day.
-

"I don't even care about that? I just don't want you getting hurt!" I hear Dean's deep voice yell, pulling me out of my sleeping state. I open one eye and look over to the window, it's bright outside now and a little bit warmer than when I unknowingly fell asleep earlier.

I sit up to look at Cas sitting on my bed near my feet, and the expression on his face is unreadable.
He doesn't say anything back to Dean, just sits there with his hands held in his lap.
Dean almost looks on the brink of tears, and although he was just screaming at Cas, it's obvious he just wants to hold him.

"Come on" Sam whispers from behind me, pulling on the sleeve of my t-shirt.

I follow him out of the motel and close the door behind me before he leans up against the wall.

"I don't like hearing them argue" Sam sighs, looking across the parking lot at Baby.

"does it happen a lot?"

He chuckles, "No, not a lot"

I stand here for a few minutes while Sam remains leaning against the wall in silence.
It's like this until Dean opens the door and slams it shut, carrying a bag over his shoulder.

"Get your stuff" he says without looking at either of us, keeping his eyes on his car as he walks towards it.

Sam and I slowly walk back into the motel room, the only thing laying around are our two bags.
No angel.
