The Sea

7 0 0

The sea laps at the sand

His smooth blue tongue

Licking the shining surface

Of the peaceful shore

Sky silent

Resting

But at night

The truce is broken

The great ocean is angry

Angry with the sky

With the Earth

With all who dare to cross the path

Of the mighty ocean

Ruler

Of the kingdoms of the blue and green planet.

He throws himself upwards

He is more mighty than the sky

He must prove it.

But with all his beauty

And grace

He cannot reach the sky

The sky taunts him

The Earth bows down to his feet

The sky is tired

Exhausted

He must give in

When dawn breaks

The sea settles down

Peacefully lapping the shore

With tips of foam

Waiting

For the night.
