Imagine that Ethan invites you to go on a walk. He stops, and tells you to close your eyes and turn around. Minutes later, he commands you to turn around and there he is on the ground in front of a grouping of flowers.
"what are you doing?" you ask.
"I was going to pick out the prettiest flower for the prettiest girl. They were all beautiful so here they are." he answers.
Confused, you ask a follow-up question, "Why didn't you pick them out of the field then?"
Ethan slowly gets up, dusts himself and then stares into your eyes. "If you love a flower, don't pick it up. because if you pick it up, it dies and it ceases to be what you love. So if you love a flower, let it be. -Osho"
You didn't realize how poetic Ethan was until this very moment. So you wonder.. How does he remember such an inspirational and loving quote? is this the same Ethan from in front of the camera?
You find Ethan staring at you for a little over a minute. You worry if there's something stuck in your teeth..
Finally, you have the courage and say, "what?"
"nothing," he replies, "you're beautiful. I've never seen someone this pretty. Would you.. like to go to the festival with me tonight?"
Blushing red, you say "of course! but can I go home and change first?"
"ok, lovely, I'll walk you home." he smiles.
"it's ok, you should head home too.. I can walk on my own." you say.
"no. I'm walking you home, to make sure you get home safe." Ethan insists.
As we walk home, you see a wishing well. Ethan gives you three pennies. You insist that he takes one for a wish of his own.
"My wish was already granted. I'm here with you."
You give him a slight smile and a nice hug. Then you proceed to make a wish. Staring at the bottom of the well, you toss the three pennies.
1 - to become Ethan's girlfriend 2 - to get a kiss from him 3 - to have the night of your life
"what'd you wish for?" he asks.
"my wish won't come true if I tell you." you wink at Ethan.
You can see his face turning bright red. He smiles so bright, it lights up your world.
Once you're at the doorsteps of your house. Ethan reminds you, "so I'll pick you up later.. ok?"
you say yes and then he stares into your eyes. You notice a twinkle in his eyes and his voice goes weak. He leans in and gives you a kiss on your forehead. Then you have a long eye contact. Shortly after, you say your goodbyes 'for now.' and start to head in. You go by the big window looking at Ethan as he walks away. He stops. Turns around, then blows a kiss and then continues walking. You realize that he's much more romantic than how he seems on camera.
*Bzz bzzz* text from Grayson: Hey, how are you?! I miss you so much! You want to hangout tonight at the festival?
You panic. You don't know how to say that you're going on a date with his twin brother. You realize that he added a 😘😘 emoji. What does he mean by that? does he like you? How do you let him down easy?
