Amber's pov
I knew this was a bad idea. All I could see on Zoeys eyes were pain and anger, she was on the verge of tears. But Tom was in in shock, He couldn't believe she was alive. He looked releavied for almost a second, but his face quickly filled with pain and anger when she turned around. "Why didn't you tell us you weren't dead,"he said as calm as he could. "Why would you want to know, I mean you were the one who pushed me off the bridge ," her voice roared. The room grew silent until Zoey broke the silence. "Amber," she said as her voice shook," has anyone gone in my lab or touched anything in there since I left?"
"No," I answered. She went straight to her lab, no one followed her in there to comfort her. There all smarter than that.
Tom's pov
I couldn't believe it, she was alive. I had pushed her off that bridge 3 years ago. She has got to have a lot of dumb luck to pull something like that off. She looked even more beautiful than she did the last time I saw her. But then I remembered, my relief suddenly turned to anger and pain. She made me and every one who cared about her think she was dead. Because of her everyone thinks I'm a murder. No one would talk to me but Tyler, Amber and the girl Zoey thinks I cheated on her with. Her name is Raven and she's my girlfriend. I said something and she responded with a snarky comment like usual. Then ran off into her lab. No one followed her though, I mean Alysa May be stupid enough to play with zoeys stuff but even she not stupid enough to follow her like this.
Zoey's pov
There he was, he looked the exact same way he did the last time I saw him. I couldn't handle it anymore he had made some rude comment and I fired back at him. I can't even remember what he or I said. I ran straight into my lab, and sat on the first chair I saw and started balling. I couldn't help it.
Time skip
Zoey's pov
"Hello?" Amber had said coming into my lab. My eyes were red and puffy. " Tom went to do something with someone and said he wouldn't be back till tomorrow," she said hoping I wouldn't catch. "What exactly is he doing?"I asked trying to sound like I didn't already know. "He's on a date,"she replied not wanting to say the last part,"With Raven." My tears started to flow again. "I'm so sorry, I didn't want you to find about them like this the-,"she tried to say but I cut her off at the last second. "You didn't want me to find out that my ex and the one he cheated on me with are getting serious," I said annoyed. " it's fine your only trying to protect my feelings,"I said as a grin started to grow on my face. "we'll if that's the case then me and the girls are having a slumber party type thing if you want to join us!"she said happily. "I'll be in a sec!" I said and she left the room. Thank god she was gone. I mean I love all the girls but if anyone of them including the boys saw this, I had to destroy all my hard work. I got up and walked over to the wall opposite to the door, and pressed on it. A safe had opened up and inside there was a brief case. I took it out put it on the table and entered the combination 3233. The case opened and inside was a apple completely covered in gold and a note next to it. It read, has 2 separate uses do not use either in case of a life or death situation. I heard foot steps and quickly closed the case put it in the safe and locked it. I could never let them find out what I've done...
