The next few days at the hospital were....awkward if anything. Alfred whom I found out was the youngest of the twins kept asking me questions about my memory. It always gave me a head ache. The last day he walked in with a suitcase. "Yo princess I brought some clothes for ya." He smiled like a child giving their mother a Happy Mother's Day gift they made in arts and crafts.

"Um...thank you." I said taking the suitcase. I then looked at Mint who was giggling at Alfred's smile. "Alfred yes?"

"Yep."

"Can you leave me a moment to change?"

He smile went down a bit but then quickly came back once he thought about it."Ok!" He ran out of the room to give me privacy.

I looked at Mint, "You said you would explain but you haven't given me a lick of an explanation yet."

Mint looked at me apologetically, "I'm sorry I didn't mean to, really, my lady."

"Mind explaining now?"

She pondered then answered my question with a question,"What do you want to know?"

"Oh I don't know. Why am I the only bloody person who can see you?"

She quietly thought again,"The royal family has a magical child every few generations. Those children are wizards and can see creatures like me."

"That's a bunch of bull." No way is that even true. Magic? She's nuts. Maybe she's just a figment of my imagination. Why this idea came to my head now not earlier? I don't know but never the less I squeezed my eyes shut, "You're not here your just a figment of my imagination!" I opened them to see Mint looking down at her feet, "What?"

She looked up immediately forcing a smile. Her face red from holding back tears, "Nothing my lady. I'm a figment of your imagination. If you believe this to be so then I will let think that. But I am real. I want you to know that not everyone can see me but those with the," She pause to think again. I found that to be a pattern with her,"magical royal bloodline. I'm a creature that has enough power to turn human if I'd like and-"

I cut her off,"Oh for goodness sake! Cry little bunny!" I covered my mouth with my hand just as soon as those words exploded. She teared up but there was no frown on her face. Instead, there was a smile. There was no sound but little sniffles from Mint. I immediately felt the guilt swallow me. "Oh Mint..." I wanted to hug her but I was unsure if that would help.

"I-It's alright my lady. I'm fine." She stammered. Figment or not I'm still human. Seeing her cry seemed to brake me.

"No it's not. I'm sorry."

"It's fine really. Better me than you're agents."

"Oh bloody hell. You seem to know me better than they do." She giggled a bit. Much better.

"Well I've known you since you were little. Only person who knows you better would probably be Alister but uh...." She wiped her tears away and grabbed some water. "How's your head my lady?" She smiled and I decided to let the name drop go but tried my best to add it to the list of Things-That-Are-Odd-And-Left-Unexplained.

"Fine." Not exactly a lie but the room hasn't stopped turning since I woke up that day so what else is new? "Ready to go home I guess."She laughed again. "What?"

"Nothing my lady just...Doesn't Alfred kind of remind you of a puppy?"

I don't know why but this comment led me to imagine Agent Jones in the royal palace being pampered like one of the queen's corgis. This reminded me... "So am I really a princess or is that a bunch of bullocks they came up with?"

She paused again, "Would believe me either way?" Ah yes. I deserved that.

I swallowed down the sting and opened my suitcase. As expected of such an item there were clothes, none of which I recognized unless you count recognizing the UK flag on some of the items. Mint seemed to know I was going to change as she temporarily disappeared when I picked the clothes out. I did enjoy the feeling of fresh clothing on my skin instead of the hospital gown I was forced to be in for the majority of my stay. Plus the leather jacket was a nice touch although probably not properly royal.

I made my way out of the hospital room to see tweedle dee, tweedle dum, and tweedle blonde huddled in another one of their secret conversations. "You're highness!" Agent Williams smiled but I couldn't really tell if he was annoyed to see me or the conversation. His brother on the other hand was beaming. I decided right then that Mint was right. He looked like a golden retriever with glasses and gloves. I tried my best not to laugh.

"So how is this gonna work?"

"What do you mean madam?" Francis tilted his head.

"Am I going to walk home, you gonna drive me there, or what?"

Alfred's beam seemed to get bigger, "I could drive."

The other twos' eyes seemed to bulge out with a resounding, "No!" Surprisingly this didn't make his tail stop wagging. Although, he did pout a little.

"I'll drive." Francis pulled out some keys and lead us to his car where Mint was already waiting eating a random cupcake. For some reason this didn't really strike me as odd. Instead what caught my attention was the bloody car itself. The whole fucking thing was armored. No wonder they didn't want Spot to drive it.

"Bloody hell! Isn't this a bit much?" Their faces said it all. Honestly I don't know how the bloody hell I manage to forget about the assignation attempt on me.

"It's to protect you princess." Alfred said. Mattie gave a gentle smile and I got the sense that he was trying to comfort me. Only problem was that it just felt off but I nodded in thanks anyway. We all got into the car.

Mint seemed to notice too. "He's trying so hard." She muttered to herself.

"Which house are we heading too? I packed snacks." Alfred pulled out a bag full of just various salty foods that would delight any gamer on a marathon. I would also like to note that I didn't know there could be that many bloody cheese flavors.

"The Senior one." Francis kept his eyes on the road trying not to terrify pedestrians with the glance of our turtle shell of a vehicle. Alfred finally frowned and I decided that although it can be annoying; I preferred the puppy.

"What the bloody hell is wrong with the Senior One?"

"Nothing." Alfred settled into his seat. I looked at Mint with the same question getting annoyed about not getting answers.

She wiped some pink frosting off the corner of her face, "It's very alive and secluded my lady."

I mouthed to her, "Alive?"

"In a way that um," she sighed, "Well in a magical way. It's ancient. Full of fairies, spirits, fae. Many magical creatures like to roam there." I blinked. I didn't know what to say to that but she apparently did, "You'll see."
And with that we continued onward in our turtle car leaving me wondering what in store for my poor brain next.
