A Is For Autism

He sits alone

He rarely makes a sound and hasn't spoken a word in his five and a half years

Even as a baby he rarely cried

He is always scribbling on everything

I think that he likes bugs because he is always drawing bugs

I talked to his Mother, she said that he was autistic

I thought she said that he was artistic

He watches television, I'm not sure that knows what television is

Then I one day he started to talk

I am happy to say that he is making up for lost time, he now never stops talking

I guess after all those years of watching television silently he picked up a few things to say
