Why does Shelby (Shubble) and Jess (Aphmau) ship Mithross? Well from what I think sense Ross is cousins with Shelby he would tell her his crush and knowing Shelby she can't tell anyone but she might hint the fact that he does have a crush on Max. Also you might be thinking "Why would Max tell Jess?" well he could of told Adam and Adam would of told Jess and then she would start shipping them but Adam doesn't want Max to hurt him so he just stays quiet.
