drabble set #1 - exo series

Her [h/c] locks cascaded down her back as she slipped the last piece of clothing off of her, leaving her bare and naked in front of the large mirror in her brightly lit bathroom. Her [s/c] skin glowed under the lights, her ghosting her fingers lightly across her stomach and thighs.

She stood there for a bit before making her way over to the shower, turning the knob for the water so it was at a nice balance between hot and cold. As the water poured over her in warm, welcoming sheets, she found her muscles relaxing and her mind clearing, at a state of peace and serenity with herself.

After a stressful day, the only way she could think of calming herself was to take a long, hot shower. As [Name] angled herself backwards to allow the water to dampen her hair for the shampoo, a small tune made it's way out of her lips.

"Nae nalkeun gitareul deureo haji moshan gobaegeul, hogeun gojipseure samkin iyagireul,"

It wasn't long before she heard the water running in the bathroom in the apartment next to hers, indicating that her neighbour had begun showering as well. While her voice didn't waver, the action of lathering her [h/c] tresses did.

[E/c] hues widened when [Name] realized that it was that neighbour.

The cute one with the killer voice.

She heard him when he was walking down the hall, always halfheartedly singing a song as he did so.

No turning back now, she thought boldly, continuing to sing gently. Her voice filled the room, and it wasn't too long before another joined in for the chorus, causing the [Surname] to stutter upon hearing his soft voice.

"Geunyang deureoyo I'll sing for you,"

His voice was so gentle, so smooth, that the [e/c] eyed girl wondered about why he hadn't left to become a singer yet. His voice shook - with what she assumed was a laugh - as he continued to sing, even after her singing died down in awe of his.

[Name] stood under the shower for a couple more minutes, taking in his gentle singing, with the way he hit each note so perfectly, the way he pronounced each word with a certain sense of tranquility. She closed her eyes, allowing his voice to soothe her further before turning the water off and stepping out of the shower, wrapping two towels around her hair and body.

She took the time to get dressed, and checking her fridge, she realized that she needed some more vegetables.

She didn't get far out the door until she heard a quiet, whisper of a voice.

"Geunyang deureoyo I'll sing for you."

Whipping to turn around, her damp [h/c] locks swishing with the movement. Her eyes locked with a pair of warm brown ones, and she found herself ogling at her cute neighbour, his wide eyes shyly grazing the floor by her boot-clad feet. "Hey," he initiated, much quieter than his singing earlier. "Your voice is pretty." He nervously bit his heart-shaped lips, eyes still trailing along the floor.

The [Surname] found her heart leaping out of her chest as she stepped towards the dark haired boy, his figure hovering between his apartment and the hallway. "Thanks," she breathed, tucking a strand of hair behind her ears, "yours is really really nice, too."

A bright smile lit up his face, him shaking his head lightly. "Thank you." He bowed a full ninety degrees, causing her to reach forward. His cheeks were ablaze with a pink blush, the rose colour creeping up his neck and to his ears. His hair was still damp, small crystalline droplets hanging onto the ends of his ebony locks.

"No no, don't thank me!" She offered him a cheeky grin, pulling him upright. "I'm [Name], by the way."

"I'm Kyungsoo. I have to finish making roast beef, but would you maybe want to join me for dinner?"

This time, it was her turn to fervently blush as she nodded hastily. "I would like that. A lot."

He widened his door, allowing her space to enter.

He leaned over, whispering in her ear rather bashfully, causing her to shoot him a look of embarrassment,
smacking his chest lightly.

"I heard your voice crack at the high note."
