"Hello guys!" I smiled into the camera, waving to the camera, "Luna here." I sighed, redoing the intro three extra times until I got it perfectly right. Being a top streamer on streamco is hard work; you have to record on a schedule every week or even every day, for most people that are definitely less lazy than me, and you can't miss a day without people going 'are you okay?' or 'stay strong'. I won't lie. I do love having a fanbase of the fans I have; they're sweet and kind and so genuine, they make me happy and even know how to make me laugh when I feel down. I began only about three years ago and my videos just blew up suddenly. Soon everybody were talking about me, or well they were actually talking about LunaMoona, my streamco channel. I must have been so cool in their eyes.
"Today's video is a little bit different," I said, staring into the camera for a couple of minutes for future editing, "we are going to be doing... DRUMROLL PLEASE... 5 weird games online!"
I was about to start the first game when the door to my bedroom opened.
"Honey, dinners ready."
I quickly turned around, covering the camera up with my hand, "Mom! You know you're supposed to knock. I thought you were dad!" I said roughly. Dad never liked the idea of me making my own videos for the Internet, but mom supported me and even helped me get what I needed without dad ever knowing.
"Sorry honey. But record later tonight.. dinners ready and dads going to know somethings up when you don't come to dinner."
"Couldn't you just say I had homework to do or something? It is Sunday." I said, hoping she'll say 'okay sweetie have fun', knowing she wouldn't since even my father knew I never did homework at last minute. Doing homework at last minute almost always means you will end up rushing and rushing means forgetting an important detail.
Mom gave me a stern look before going downstairs, leaving the door open just a tad bit giving me the sign to go down for dinner now and not later. I pressed the stop button on my camera and covered it with a towel before slowly going to my bedroom door and closing it slightly behind me. I walked myself down the stairs, running my fingertips down the stair railing, looking down at the way my feet skipped as I went down each step.
"Luna Mucus." someone whispered from behind. I turned around to see my annoying older brother, Shawn, making a stink face towards me.
"Did you smell yourself again?" I asked him. "You should probably stop doing that.. it's kind of weird." I continued down the stairs when he ran ahead and stood in front of me.
"Move." I said giving him a shove out of the way, but he stood in place.
"You seriously need to move before I end up shoving you down the stairs.." I gave him a 'or else' kind of stare down.
"What are you two doing?" Someone, dad, said from downstairs.
"Shawn won't let me downstairs, daddy!" I pouted. That's the bonus of being 'daddys little girl', anything you try becomes adorable.
"Shawn get down here. It's time for dinner, now get down here and go sit next to the snails."
He sighed and stumbled down the stairs. I let off a small giggle as I watched him go down before going down myself.I pulled out the last remaining chair by dad and sat down. As always, dinner was pasta and Swedish meatballs. I think the pasta is just because mom wants us to know we're half Italian although it's obvious we are anyways, but mom always adds the Swedish meatballs just to mess with dad. I think it's cute. I scooped a little bit of pasta onto my plate and put 6 meatballs on top, evenly setting it around in a circle. I took a sip of the almond milk mom always sets out for me with dinner.
"Dinner looks so good, mom. I really love how you added a Swedish thing to the table. I wish I could be Swedish." I said, letting off a laugh as I look over at dad who was laughing as well.
"Surely nobody at this table can ever be Swedish," he joked. "What even is Swedish? Isn't that a fish?"
"Felix." Mom said, her smile slowly turning into a laugh.
I love dad. He always knew how to make us laugh, even on the days that aren't much to laugh about. Sometimes I wonder if that's how he got mom. His ability to make people laugh. If I was mom I would have totally fallen for him. After dinner, I was eager to go back upstairs and finish filming the video. I had been done eating for a few minutes now, but mom always wants us to wait patiently and wait for everyone to be done eating before we all just got up and walked away. Something about it being good family table manners. Usually I'm okay with it, but usually I never had a really good video idea to have to put on hold before.
"Mom, may I be excused? It's just I promised Rubie I'll call her and-" I fibbed.
"You and Rubie are always together, at school or hanging out, couldn't she wait on a phone call just this once?" Dad asked before putting a forkful of pasta into his mouth.
"Rubie's my best friend dad. I never like leaving her hanging." I said. I looked back over at mom and gave her the cutest puppy dog eyes I could give. Although the puppy dog eyes usually only work on dad, it is worth a shot.
"You can be excused.. after you do the dishes." Mom replied.
I sighed. "Isn't it Shawn's turn?"
"I did them last night!" My brother defended himself. I got up and picked up all of the dishes that weren't being used, and slowly made my way towards the kitchen sink. I let out a small sigh as I turned on the water.
"One day I will be famous and you all will be sorry you ever made me do this." I said, "Especially you Shawn."
"I'll die before I ever feel sorry for you." Shawn said back. I rolled my eyes.
"Shawn.." Mom said quietly. She said something else but it was a low whisper so I couldn't hear. I could just assume it was towards what Shawn just said.
Dad stood next to me, holding some more dishes and dropped them into the sink, giving me a loving look. "I know you're going to be famous one day.. but until then you have to do these chores like everyone else."
"I'm going to buy a maid." I said back.
"What?"
I looked up. "When I'm famous, I'm buying a maid. The maid can do all the chores and I could-" I caught myself before I announced to dad about the videos I make. "-I could relax and lay back."
"Yeah, and talk to Rubie all night long." Dad chuckled. He took the plate from my hand, "I'll finish. Go call your other half."
I smiled and practically ran up the stairs. I went up to my room, closed the door, uncovered the camera, and sat in front of it. I pressed the record button.
"So for the first game.."
