Chapter 1 Firsts
My life is kind of complicated. Your probably thinking, “who’s isn’t?” No, no. Let me tell you. . I have an older brother (by like 2 minutes, give me a break) who has this enormous ego thats the size of Jupiter. He also has this crazy reputation at school that he doesn’t want to ruin. How you ask? By hanging with his little nerdy sister. We act like total strangers at school and at home its normal again. The only people that know are, my mom and my two best friends, Chase and Layla. They've been my best friends since 7th grade. I honestly didn’t mind the whole exchange with my brother ignoring me at school. It used to bother me but I guess I just got used to it. It also helped that we didn’t look alike at all. He has light brown hair and these chocolate brown eyes that girls drooled over. He was confident, and outgoing. Whereas on the other hand I had jet black hair that was a little way past my chin and was pencil straight with these cliché blue eyes and pale skin. What a freak, I know. I usually kept away from most people at school, it wasn’t like I was loser or anything. In fact, I chose to stay away from people. It just made life a lot easier you know? No drama, nada. Plus it was kind of entertaining watching your over-confident brother rival against the biggest jerk of all time, Cole Blackwood. They hated each others guts. I don't know the reason and didn't really care, it was just funny. Especially when they were forced to get along for the sake of our schools football team. As seniors, they were both on varsity acting as if they were going against each other rather than the opposing teams. Anyways, enough about those two, i'm here to tell you my story.

I breathed a sigh of relief as I heard the stupid school bell ring. It had been a long first day of my senior year, full of the same old syllabus' and parent signature sheets. I quickly made my way to my locker, weaving my way through the students. I guess I wasn't watching where I was going because next thing know I bump into what i'm assuming is a door.
“Ow!” I winced, rubbing my forehead and nose, that actually really hurt. I looked up to see what caused such a unholy experience. Which was also one of the most dumbest decisions of my entire life. Other than the time I thought it'd be fun to drown myself in a pool, in hopes of learning how to swim. Yeah, not the best experience.
A snapping of fingers brought me out of my train of thought. Quickly realizing I had been staring I snapped out of it and dropped my head.
“S-sorry.” I muttered, heading towards the left. What I wasn't expecting was for this boy to block my way. Thinking it was just a coincidence, I stepped to the right only to be blocked. Again. This just meant trouble.
“And who are you?” I heard the incredible deep voice ask. After sorting through my options, I figured to just ignore him. I pushed past him and speed walked to my locker which was just out of hands reach. I kept walking until I felt a hand envelope mine and without looking over my shoulder, I gently tried wiggling my hand out, but boy oh boy was he strong.
“Yes?” I turned around, feeling helpless.
“I believe I asked you a question.” His electric grey eyes pierced into mine, making my legs feel like jell-o. This was the closest I had ever been to a guy, excluding Chase and Emiliano (everyone calls him Em for short except for me and my mom.) I'm pretty sure I forgot how to speak. It wasn't that I was nervous or anything, I just didnt know how to react.
“Uhh...”
“Eren! I've been looking all over-” I heard Chase calling out to me, but I was frozen in place. My hand was starting to hurt in his tight grasp. Im sure that will leave a bruise on my skin later. I cursed myself or being so pale.
“Eren huh? Cute.” I mentally cursed at Chase.
“I didn't know you were uh busy, uh, i'll just uh wait um outside. Yeah.” I heard Chase walk away and I continued to struggle in this crazy mans grasp. Seriously Chase?! What in gods name was he doing? Wasnt he going to help me?!
