And now it comes to it. This is your first decision in the story... and it has nothing to do with the story.
I'm having trouble deciding which charity I want this Your Very Own Adventure story to support. But why make a decision like this when I have people to do it for me?
I've narrowed it down to three charities. How convenient. Vote on the charity that most strikes your fancy. The charity with the most votes is the charity this story will be supporting.
Voting ends when the story comes to a close, so you have a long time to decide and cast your vote.
Here are your options:
a) The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa
Established in 1923, the BGCO aims to provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.
They have reached out to 4,500 children and youth each year through after-school, weekend and summer programs that build self-esteem and help to develop stronger social skills.
The Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa is a registered charity. Charitable Registration # 11881-4565-RR0001

b) Indspire

In partnership with Indigenous, private and public sector stakeholders, Indspire educates, connects and invests in Indigenous people so they will achieve their highest potential. Indspire is led by Indigenous people for Indigenous people. They serve First Nation, Inuit, and Métis students in remote communities and urban centres across Canada.
Enriching Canada through Indigenous education and by inspiring achievement.

c) Nature Canada
Nature Canada is the oldest national nature conservation charity in Canada. Over the past 75 years, they have helped protect over 63 million acres of parks and wildlife areas in Canada and countless species that depend on this habitat. Today, Nature Canada represents a network comprised of over and more than 350 nature organizations across the country and with affiliates in every province.
They focus on effecting change on issues of national significance including citizen science initiatives, urban nature initiatives, building a national network of conservation organizations, building a network of volunteers to care for critical natural habitat sites across Canada and being a voice for nature at the federal level. Nature Canada is also extremely proud to be the founding member of the Green Budget Coalition seeking to present positive, viable and sensible solutions to the federal government on how the federal budget can move in a more environmentally friendly direction.
Nature Canada is a Registered Charity. Charitable Registration # 11883-4704-RR0001.
