I swerved around hallway thirty two, just as another explosion bit at my hind legs. I clung tightly to the two small helpless kittens in my jaw. The last clung to my shoulder blades, his tiny claws piercing my skin.
He'll be strong when he grows- my thoughts where cut off when the wall in front of me tore away and crumbled. Thinking fast I skidded around the tumbling stones flinching as a sharp stone hit my flank. The dust left debris in my eyes, making them sting.
Almost there! I prayed that I would get there in time.
There!! The door of the TARDIS room was torn off its hinges and at an odd angle. I sprung over the stones and wood blocking my way, sprinting towards the direction of the TARDISES.
Oh no.... Only one TARDIS was left, the broken TARDIS.
Oh well it will have to do, I just hope it will fly... I opened the door of the TARDIS and gently put Red and Jem down and let Doctor slide of my back. I turned to close the TARDIS door and paused. In my head I imagined all the innocent cats I was leaving to get killed. I could almost hear the screams of them ringing around in my head.
My eyes stung, and this time not from debris. A small tear trickled down my cheek. I closed my eyes in sorrow and regretfully closed the TARDIS door with a click. I let my eyes adjust to the flickering light of the TARDIS.
"Daddy?" I turned to see who had spoke to me. Doctor was staring up at me eyes wide.
" what's gonna happen to us?" His head was slightly tilted and his wide blue eyes stared up at me. I stood there frozen in time my mind blank.
"Dad? What's happening what's growing on!?" His voice rose to a wail, and his wide eyes got wider. I shook my head to clear it and suddenly realized that the TARDIS was malfunctioning. It's usuall wheezing sound was cut off and sounded more like a broken down PS3. It was wurring and spluttering . I grimiest.
"Nothing, everything will be fine." I hoped I sounded more confident than I felt.
Just then, I realized that we might not make it out alive... The TARDIS was malfunctioning and probably wouldn't be able to stableize nor land. The TARDIS rocked back and forth making Jem tumble twords me. She let out a squeak. I grabbed her scruff and set her down on her paws.
My time machine let out another horrible sound.
"If I don't land this soon, the TARDIS will decinigrate..." I muttered
"Here goes nothing." I meowed.
"Geronimo!!!!." Yelled Doctor.
The TARDIS spun rapidly. I was able to grab Doctor and Jem but Red tumbled to the far side of the TARDIS. I saw her tiny paws flail to try to catch hold of the railing but even with her claws out all they did was hold her for a second before she slide down to the next floor.
My paw reached out and shot a beam of purple energy to stop Red's fall. I just hoped it reached her before she hit the cold metal ground.
Just then the TARDIS landed and my world went black.
