"JAXSON!" Emma yelled as she ran to her cousin and gave him a huge hug. He hugged her back.
"Whats up Emma! So happy to see you," Jaxson said as he unhugged her and gave his mother and father a hug. His little brothers too. Everyone was coming in hugging their sons and then setting down the food on the food table. It was a pot luck theme.
"So hows everything here?" Emma asked Jaxson.
"Its okay. I think I will be making a career out of the military though. When I graduate from here, I plan on taking about 3 months off and then enlisting into the ARMY," Jaxson said.
"Son that's great. I'm glad you are turning your life around finally," Mr. Spencer said.
"ATTENTION GUEST, PLEASE LINE UP IN AN ORDERLY FASHION AND LET THE POT LUCK BEGIN."
"Lets get some real food!" Jaxson said taking Emma's hand and pulling her to the line.
"Jaxson man, is this your mystery girlfriend?" one guy said.
"No dude, she's my cousin. But my best friend too. She's like a sister," he stated. The guy smiled.
"I'm Logan," he said saluting her. She smiled and nodded her head.
"I'm Emma."
"Well that's out of the way lets eat. Logan you can join us," Jaxson said to his friend. Logan smiled and stood inline with them.
"Logan, so, you're parents couldn't make it huh?" June said to him as she was getting the boys to sit still to eat their lunch.
"Nah. They split up and I haven't really heard from them," Logan said.
"Oh so sorry hun," June said.
"Jax has made this easier on me. He's a brother that's for sure," Logan said as him and Jax started to push each other.
"So, Logan, do you have any siblings?" Emma asked.
"No. None."
"Are you going on the camping trip thing?" Emma asked.
"Ah, yeah, I'm inviting my girlfriend to go," he said.
"What camping trip?" June asked. Logan told June all about the trip and what the purpose of it is. How its to help the regular people of America survive if need be in the wilderness. Mr. Spencer and Jaxon were talking about the advance up to the military.
"So, how is the sleeping arrangement?" Emma asked.
"Girls will be in a few tents and guys in the other. Depends how many people are participating. But during the drills, its mixed. So you will have your time with Jaxson no worries," Logan said.
"Oh I wasn't worried. I'm sure he'll kick my ass," Emma said with a smile. "I am not sure how I will survive a day, but I am willing to try."
"So, Emma, do you wanna come see the bunks and the grounds with me while my parents go talk to the Sergeants about some funding," Jaxon said as he interrupted Logan and Emma.
"Yeah! I need to go to the little girls room first though," she said tossing her plate away.
"I'm sure you aren't a little girl, but it's behind you," Logan said. Jaxon punched him in the stomach.
"Dude, really?" Jaxson said. Logan stood up.
"Man, chill out I was just playing," he said as he walked off still holding his stomach. Shortly later Emma came back all smiles.
"So, where we headed?" she asked taking Jaxson's hand.
