All she could think about was him. His name was Brendan. She felt like she knew him from somewhere.. But couldn't figure it out. She had to know where from. Brendan walked up behind her and tapped her shoulder softly.
Scarlet spun around quickly caught off guard. "H-hey Brendan." She said shyly. "Hey, do you need a ride home?" He was looking at her smiling. "Are you sure.. I live pretty far away.." Scarlet was looking down at the ground blushing. "Yeah, follow me to my car." Brendan reached out for her hand. She slowly places her hand in his.
They walked together to his car and got in. "So, where do you live?" His phone rang right as he said it. He answered it, Scarlet watched his expression change. He hung up and looked over at her. "Hey.. I know this is sudden but.. Can I stay at your place tonight.. There's some stuff going on at my house and my mother doesn't want me involved.." He was looking down. "Y-yeah that would be fine. My umm.. Parents are out of town.." Scarlet looked away as a tear rolled down her cheek thinking about her mother. He drove them to her house as she directed him. By the time they arrived it was getting dark.
