The yellow bus came to a screeching halt with its red stop lights flashing. It hissed as its doors open with laughing children jumping out, but one child in particular kept close to herself. With L H/C hair, she was no older than ten, perhaps eight or nine. She looked around for a bit, undoubtedly for her guardian, but before she could go back to the bus after not seeing them, the yellow doors closed with an old rusty clank and drove off. Now completely alone the small girl trembled and started to walk where she hoped her home was, but all around her was unfamiliar sights. After being in the day care after school, this was her first time riding the bus home. She kept walking as she huddled to herself as a strong gale swept across her small form, nearly knocking her over. She looked up in fright only to see dark clouds looming with a threatening aura.

Suddenly she was drenched with the freezing rain and she sprinted to hopefully find her house sooner. Through the rain tears fell from her E/C eyes and she choked on sobs. She was completely lost and she realized it. She sat down on the curb and continued to cry out, hoping someone would notice her and help her back home. Minutes passed by with a few cars driving past without stopping, no one cared about her, she thought and stood back up.

The first thing she wanted to do was get out of the rain, so she walked into the densely filled woods that had yet to be torn down. Hugging close to a thick tree she was able to get out of the rain mostly, only the occasional fat drop hitting her; the tree also blocked the powerful gale. Shivering she sat on the muddy dirt and tucked her knees in, wrapping her arms around them. She flinched as a flash of light crackled and thundered extremely close by. She didn't know how long she stayed like that, just that she was terrified with each crack of lighting that hit the trees close by. She was too scared to even move, and completely unaware the danger she was in.

Then all she saw was white, a burning light that struck the tree behind her and blistered across her back; all over her small body. She fell face first into the mud, leaving her lighting scarred back facing towards the sky. The tree's branches burned to a crisp, the rain now flowed freely and onto the girl's back. With each spasm her skin tore even more because of the charred wood splinters impaling her, but she was alive. Practically unconscious and near death.

Minutes later the rain started to drizzle out and then completely faded, sunlight peaked through the dark clouds. Birds chirped in joy and started to peck at the ground for the unburied bugs. Some hopped in curiosity over to the girl and chirped noisily. The smell of burnt wood and flesh contaminated the air. The birds squawked and flew off as heavy footsteps swished into the mud, and then another's footsteps could be heard, this one softer.

"I can't believe she's alive..." One spoke in a surprised and horrified voice, her voice soft and feminine.

"...Find Porlyusica. She may not like us, but she'll heal the girl." An older man voice spoke with authority and a new set of footsteps arrived, these sudden and fast. More came, two more to be precise.

"You better hurry Racer, I can hear her heartbeat slowing." A deep voice spoke, though younger sounding than the first man.

"If she dies she'll be worthless, yes!" Another male spoke, and the younger male sighed and growled, "Not everything is about money, Hoteye."

"You heard Cobra, Racer, get the poor girl to Porlyusica." The older man spoke again, his words gruff.

"I'll hurry then." The one known as Racer spoke and picked up the small girls frail body, then with inhuman speed disappeared.

"So noisy..." A sixth voice spoke tiredly, one's whose footsteps was never to be heard...
