The night was lively as always.
The black sky lightened up by the graceful glow of the full moon. A sound of cold gust trailed through the snowy forest. Howling like a whispering ghost which almost gave the creeps out of anyone upon hearing it.
A hooded man didn't seem to be scared of it. And he didn't mind about how it sounded like as he continued walking in the brink of the snowy forest with his cloak swaying by the soft gales of wind. He reached a lake and stopped. Looking up to see the moon gazing at him with its rays.
He nodded and turned his gaze towards the lake. It was completely frozen. All of its water turned into ice during an existent winter.
He mouthed words that sounded foreign and began casting a spell. Blizzard gusts of wind emerged and whirled around him like he was inside a tremendous cyclone as the branches were bent by it. The moon was glowing brighter than earlier and all around him, bits of snow and crumpled leaves, were found being carried away by the shimmering gusts as the man was finishing his spell.
"Luna tua tibi." He said. "Ego respondeo dicendum tuam. Lumen tuum da mihi virtutem. Facies miraculum non possum , sed quod tu. Ego voco spiritu et anima quod mends coniunctum. Resurgere a mortuis, bruma spiritus!"
His cast was done and the gusts were dispersed, causing the leaves and the snow to fall around him as well as the branches bent back to their position. The moon glowed even brighter as it gazed on, more than a hundred feet from where the man stood, the center of the frozen solid lake and with a blink of an eye, the ice cracked. Little by little, the ice cracking made these brittle noises like they were the sound of breaking and shattering glass. Then something came out of the ice.
The man peered his eyes under his hood and closely watched to see the thing ascending from the lake. It appeared to be a boy whose age was twice younger than the hooded man himself. Possibly in the age of eighteen.
He walked up to him when the unconscious boy floated towards him. As he reached for him, he could see the boy's eyes half-opened before they completely shut themselves and the boy was dropped in front of him. He caught him and took him to land and laid him beside an oak tree.
The man sighed. Feeling tired as he sat down and laid his back beside the boy. His gaze turned towards the boy who was sleeping peacefully, though with a few snores. He kept his eyes on him for a moment then he looked up to the full moon.
Its usual glow came back and the moon looked as if it knew what he was thinking. No one knows if the moon can actually understand a human being nor can actually be a person if possible. But the man somehow knew what the moon was, though he found it ironic causing him to chuckle to himself.
His hoarse voice cut the seconds of silence, "I never knew I would be talking to you. Waiting for your response after my struggles as you finally speak to me."
He turned back to the boy. "Poor boy," He said. "Soon, when you grow stronger. You will never be alone in this road."
Fate have already decided anyway.

This is ElAplanis speaking. I'm keeping this short for now but the next chapter would be much longer than this. And I wanted to say thank you for reading Chronicles of The Four. I really hope you enjoyed it since this is my first time to write a fantasy story other than fanfiction stories. :)
Updating would be my problem. I got a lot of things to catch up and do like studying, working, etc whatever you're guessing what I'm doing. And the later new update chapters will probably be longer than the first update chapters unless I wrote (typed) them long.
Anyway, I will be appreciating for the votes and comments from you. But you have to be honest with your comments. (Take note, it's okay to be honest of what you're thinking of someone's work but be warned, I don't usually get along with criticism.) And thanks again for reading this. :)
