Chapter 1.

My family basically had a party when I left, none of them like me that much. My mom is an accountant and my dad is a doctor, my sister is in med school and basically hates me. So yeah, they were disappointed when I said I wanted to be be a director for movies. They always thought it was a waste of time, and that I'd grow out of it. News flash, I didn't! The tension just grew with me and my family and eventually I just stopped talking to them all together. It was just easier that way.

The whole time I was on the plane I was thinking about all of this and thinking "Maybe I should go back home, where it's safe" but then I thought, "No, this is your dream. Youtube is your life. And that will not change" Getting off the plane, I was so excited to see the bright lights of LA. I'm living my dream.

As I got off the plane, I grabbed all of my luggage, and went to stay at a hotel for the night. I had an apartment lined up and my furniture was on the way. My parents had given me a supply of funds so I wouldn't starve or be homeless. I'm grateful to them for that.

As I checked into the hotel, I noticed a guy walking though the hotel lobby. He walked over to the restaurant area of the hotel and sat down, grabbing a menu. Shrugging it off, I walked upstairs holding my key card. When I got into my room, I collapsed on my bed, it had been a long day.

Gradually, I got hungry, so I decided I would go eat in the restaurant downstairs. Grabbing my key card, purse, and my phone, I ran downstairs, bumping into a janitor in my rush. I yelled "Sorry!!" and continued rushing downstairs. I was hungry, okay?!

As I got down to the lobby, I noticed that the guy I noticed earlier was still in the restaurant. He looked like he had been stood up by some friends...or a date?

I went into the restaurant and waited to be seated. As a waitress came over and gave me a table, I saw the guy get up and leave. I noticed he looked mad.

"Give me a second," I said to the waitress, running over to the guy.

"Hey, I don't mean to be a nosy bitch, but, are you okay? You seem kinda down. I'm Cali, by the way,"

"Like the state?" He said, with a half smile.

"Yes like the fucking state, now are you okay?" I said with a smirk on my face.

"Yeah, I'm good. It's just this girl stood me up. I've liked her for a while, but I guess it just wasn't meant to be," He said "I'm Kian, by the way,"

"I knew I knew you from somewhere! Kian Lawley, right?! I recognize you from your YouTube videos!" I said, realizing who he was. I'd watching a few of his videos in the past and found him and his friends really entertaining.

"Yeah, I didn't wanna say anything, but I kinda already knew you from your videos too," Kian said, looking at me.

"Haha that's so cool! Hey, we should collab sometime!"

"Love to! Here's my number, call me soon so we can make plans!" Kian said, handing me a price of paper with a scribbled number on it, and the words "The one and only, Kiki Lawley"

"Haha, I'll call you soon! I've got to go eat, so let's meet up soon!" I said, since I was really hungry at this point :)

"Yep. Okay, bye :)" Kian said, walking away.

Quickly, I dialled the number he gave to me. I watched him pull his phone out of his pocket and say "Hello?"

"Told you I would call you soon!"

He turned around and laughed, and I hung up and went to go eat.

Okay, end of first chapter, I feel like this was a long one, don't get used to it! When I use things like :) or ;) it's basically me trying to express the characters emotion is at that point. So, that's just me, idk. Anyways! Ciao for right now!
