Bri's POV:
I settled down into my seat before joining the skype call. Since the start of summer last week, I took a few extra shifts at the pizzeria and work had 100% taken up my entire life. I was so excited to finally talk to the fam again.
"HI!" I squealed into my headphones. I was greeted with the usual "OHMYGOSH HELLO" and "HEEYYYYY!" God, it felt so good to hear their voices again.
Josh, Niall and Nora were in the call.
"BRI did you hear about the huge fucking storm that's supposed to hit the entire east coast? Like I gottttaaa goooo." Josh said.
"LITERALLY I'm so done. The snow is going to consume my entire house I swear to god." I replied. The snowstorms were everywhere on the news. Snow is normal around here, but not in the fucking summer time.
Nora laughed. "Its so sunny here ohmygosh. But I mean, west coast best coast." she said smugly.
I groaned loudly. "I NEED TO VENT" I announced.
"GO!" Josh yelled.
I cleared my throat. "SO this fucking guy came into the pizzeria and he ordered his meal right? So I bring him his food and he's like 'This pizza isn't very moist' and I was like ??? Okay?? What do you want from me??? (But in a polite way) and this guy was like 'I want a refund' I was like SIR I can't do that and then he started yelling at me everyone was staring and it was just awfulll ughghg." I talked so fast they probably couldn't understand me, but it was fine. The vent was more for me than them anyways.
"Oh god what a psycho. But I mean at least you're off school" Niall said. He still hadn't finished all of his exams, lol poor soul.
It was your typical Friday night call. Outside, the dark sky was clear, and each star was shining brightly.
"I really doubt it's gonna snow that much. The people on the news are so god damn dramatic." I said.
Josh snorted "Watch it be like half an inch OMnJFNJNFD."
Jack's POV:
4:00 AM and I'm still up. Typical. I wished more than anything I could be in the call with everyone, but my housemate decided she didn't like her room, and she was in the process of redecorating. Consequently, she was sleeping in the living room, which is right next to my room. She has the ears of a god damn bat and she bitches every time she hears me speak... So, alone I sit in my room, watching Orange Is The New Black.
Right as I was getting really invested into the daily grind of litchfield prison, my screen popped up with the good old "Whoops, something went wrong..." screen.
Excuse me?
I tried moving to youtube, but none of the videos would load. My internet must have been shitting. I sighed, coming to terms with the fact that I was almost out of distractions.
I sunk into my pillows, and tried my best to sleep.
Ryan's POV:
The wind outside was so loud. I just wanted to be a good boy and study for my GCSE's but nope; it's not possible when it sounds like a wrecking ball is just causally wrecking havoc on my neighborhood.
Whatever, I'll fail my exams ITS FINE.
I climbed into bed and started scrolling through twitter. A buzzfeed article about random blackouts in China showed up in my feed, and I clicked on it.
Some Chinese cities have been experiencing blackouts lasting anywhere from two hours to eight days. The cause of the blackouts is unknown, but some radicals are convinced it's due to confidential government testing....
I shutter at the thought of having no electricity for a week. Well, good thing I'm nowhere near there. I close my eyes, and go to sleep.
