An Enemy?

 Meow looked down at Johnathan, "Do you have any idea what happened to you or him?" 

 "Yeah, he is hurt but needs time not magic to heal. Just let him be and he'll be fine. No idea what happened though,"

  "Well do you know what happened to yourself."  

  "Dart, sleeping potion," 

 "You mean this," she pulled the exact sleeping dart Onyx used out of her pocket. "I found it in a room while I was exploring."

  "Ha! See!?" Lavendyr cried, pointing. 

  "Do I need to write it out and underline the word FOUND," she glared at Lavendyr. 

 Lav snorted. "You have no proof. Guilty until proven innocent."

  "Whatever, it's not like you could do anything even if I was guilty." Meow huffed. "Is anyone gonna take my side in this?"

  "You know more then you let on." Tom said.  

Diana rolled her eyes, and continued on running down the hall. Soon she came to the room they were heading to.

"Finally! Diana, I thought you would never get here!" Lavendyr cried happily.

"Okay, lets do this." Diana ordered.

"Right." Lav pointed to the scales. "Does anyone remember the riddle we found?"

  "Riddle?" Asked Meow.

 "You will see the meaning of life when you find balance between happiness and despair." Lavendyr told her. Diana pointed to the stones, clear labels written on in black paint.

"And there's 'happiness' and 'despair'." She remarked.

  "Huh... that's one hell of a riddle." Tom said. 

 "So what does that have to do with us getting out?"

  "When you find balance between happiness and despair..." Tom repeated scratching his head. "That one really stands out for me." 

 "There is a reason why I called you all to the room with the scales." Diana said mysteriously.

  "What does scales have to do with this?" Tom asked. 

 "Balance........" Lavendyr hinted.

 The scales started shaking and suddenly Ultimo broke through a wall in the room and walked in

"I'm here for Liam, "he said angrily

 "Crazy person!" Tom shouted as he pointed at Ultimo.

Ultimo's upper right eye flashed blue and threw Tom into a wall.

"DO NOT INSULT ME MORTAL "Ultimo shouted enraged.

  Tom hit the wall with a small bang. "Firstly... don't insult the cra-" He cut himself of. "normal person... Secondly, I HATE EVIL DEMON MAGIC!" He shouted as he got up.  

  Meow stood in front of Liam and glared at Ultimo, "Who are you?"

  "I am Ultimo Superion "Ultimo said. 

 "That so sounds like a cliche superhero name." Tom said.

  "I know right," Meow smirked for a second but then glared at him again.  She placed her hand on her dagger which was in her back pocket.
