Lowe stepped out from under the big rock he had been hiding under. he had just watched his family be ripped to shreds by his father. the little wolf looked left and right, then shakily walked out into the moonlight. his mother's and brother's skulls glinted white. all blood had been cleaned off. Lowe layed down and put his head on his paws, and cried. Somewhere, a twig snapped. Lowe jerked up, and turned around. "W-w-w-who's there?" He asked. A howl came from a different direction. Oh, God. Lowe thought. Their surrounding me!
A reddish female wolf circled around him, like a vulture over a carcass. " Get up, Shunkaha." She growled. Lowe was taken aback. to be called a Shunkaha was a big insult. He puffed up his fur and tried to look fierce. "W-who are you?" He asked in a mock fierce tone. The red wolf laughed. " I am Otsanda. You should know that. You are to follow me and not say a word. if you make any noise, they will find us. " Lowe opened his mouth to speak, but got his ear nipped by Otsanda.
Dark grey clouds covered the moon, making it nearly impossible to see where they were going. Lowe bit down on the end of Otsanda's tail so he wouldnt get lost. They ducked under brambles and walked into a big open space, much bigger then Lowe's old home. " Ulf. Tell me your name. We will then find you a pack to go to." Lowe whispered. "It's Lowe." Otsanda walked over to a big burly brown wolf. "This is Lowe. His family was killed by Wselfwulf. he needs a pack" The brown wolf walked over to Lowe and smiled. "Now, son. i am going to ask you questions and you have to answer them honestly. okay, heres the first one. Are you a runner or a fighter?" Lowe looked confused.. "I don't understand. And will you tell me your name, sir?" Lowe said. the brown wolf shook his head. "Names are not important. Turn and stand sideways." the brown wolf said. Lowe did as he was told. "Definitly a fighter.."
After rounds of questioning and talking with Otsanda, the brown wolf looked back at Lowe. "You are going into the pack of Yowlumne. A representive will be here to get you." With that, two grey wolves came and lifted Lowe onto their backs and ran through the forest. they stopped at a wall of thorns. The two wolves dropped Lowe on the ground and put their paw on a big red rose. the thorns parted. Lowe was carried into a big field full of wolves talking and chattering. A rather small, but muscular wolf walked up to him. " Welcome to paradise." She said.
