The date

*Bailey’s Point Of View*

The next day:

I had used the whole morning to write my song and I had finally finished it.

When it was about 3 P.M, there was a knock on my door. I opened it to find Dalton with a huge, creepy smile. “Hello Bailey” he said in his ‘I-know-something-you-don’t-know-and-I-won’t-tell-you’-voice. “Hi Dalton. What’s up?” I said a bit confused. What was going on?

“Will told me to give you this” he gave me a piece of paper. “Thanks” I said, taking the paper. And then he left. Weird kid.

I looked at the paper Dalton had given me. I saw it was a letter from Will.

Bailey

Tonight will be the night of your life. I’ll make sure of that. You only have to do ONE thing. I want you to go shopping with Gabe and Dalton. I’ve told them what to look for, and where to look for it. I can’t wait to see you tonight.

What did he want to me to find?

I decided to get dressed in some black lose jeans, a neon green tank-top and my lime-green converse, before going downstairs to find Gabe and Dalton waiting for me.

“Ready to go?” Dalton asked when he saw me coming down the stairs. “Yep. I guess this is why you had that weird and creepy look on your face when I answered my door” I said. “Yep.” He mocked me.

We arrived at the mall at about 4:30 P.M. Gabe and Dalton got out of the car, but wouldn’t let me out right away. I watched them standing outside talking about something. Probably the thing had told them to find for me.

Finally they let me out. We went inside and they led me straight into a dress shop. Just what I had feared, he wants me to dress up for this date.

“Hello miss, there should be a dress put aside by a William Behlendorf, and we’re here to pick it up.” Dalton said to the cashier. “Yes, right this way sir. And I’m guessing the dress is for this lovely lady right here?” she questioned as she pointed at me. “Yes it is.” Gabe said as the woman from the shop took out a lovely dress.

I went to the changing-room and put it on. It was a simple one-shoulder dress in a light salmon color with a brown leather belt around the stomach. It was a beautiful, everyday summer-dress. Something told me that this date wouldn’t be something classy and expensive, which I was happy for.

I got out of the changing-room to let Gabe and Dalton, who had been waiting for me to come out and show the dress, see me.

“Wow, you look beautiful. Some white converse and you’re ready for your date.” Dalton said as he handed me a box with a brand new pair of white converse. Wait, what? New dress and new shoes? What was Will planning?

I put on the shoes and looked at the boys in front of me. “So… what’d ya’ll think?” I asked them. “Perfect. Okay let’s go, Will told us to bring you to the date around 6 P.M. and it’s a 30 minute drive, so we better get going.” Gabe said as he paid the woman.

30 minutes later the car stopped, but I couldn’t see where we were. Gabe had pulled in about five minutes before, so he and Dalton could put a blindfold on me.

I heard the door beside me open and I was helped out of the car. They helped me up some hills or something, and suddenly I heard a guitar. “Okay, you can take the blindfold off now” I heard Daltons voice.
