We talked about my Dreams

Let us talk about my dreams.

Want to sit and have a drink?

I just really need someone.

To share what I feel and think.

I think about those often.

Those dreams I keep and hold.

I hold tightly and fight.

More than what I’ve ever told.

You want to know something?

I stumbled and failed again.

Not once, not twice, but for nth time.

I’m tired and I’m in vain.

My tears roll, my breathing slows.

Why does it happen to me?

The rain drops, the wind blows.

Tell me now, what will I be?

I disappointed them.

I disappointed You.

Will you leave me, too?

Just like what those dreams do.

They’re walking away from me.

Now, I’m down on my knees.

What can I still do?

Do something, don’t just stare.

So you’re telling me that?

To stand up and have guts?

For how many times I did.

Look, did something happen?

I am crying harder.

You’re kneeling, leveling me.

The stars are shining brighter.

You are comforting me.

You pat my back, hold my hand.

You wipe my tears and say,

“Child, I’m just always here.”

“Get up and chase your dreams.”

I’m feeling better this time.

Yes Lord, I’ll do as I’m told.

Forgive me if I doubted.

I’ll hold stronger and be bold.

You, Lord are my shepherd.

I will never be in need.

You, Lord are the light.

You keep me safe.

I’ll leave what is behind.

I’ll struggle for what’s ahead.

I will finish this race.

For you, I’ll fight for my dreams.
