Amanda's POV
"AMANDA! YOU'RE GOING TO MISS THE BUS!" My mom yelled from the kitchen. I groaned and swung myself out of bed. I pulled out my uniform for Catholic school and ran down the stairs."Bye, Mom." I said, grabbing a granola bar off the counter.
"Bye, honey! Have a good day." She called to me as I walked out the front door. I saw a couple of my classmates already waiting at the bus stop. I trudged my way over and plugged in my earbuds and put on some music.
"Hey freak! What are you listening to?" Kurt, the biggest asswipe in the history of asswipes, shouted. I ignored him and pulled out my phone.
"Hey, he asked you a question!" Ram, his best friend, shouted. He ran over to me and ripped out my right earbud. I whipped around.
"I'm listening to Next to Normal, okay?" I yelled, putting my earbud back in and turning it up. The bus arrived after that. I trudged my way to my usual seat, put my backpack on the seat next to me, and stared out the window. I could see my reflection in the window. I looked at my small nose, my thin lips, my brown hair and finally, my purple eyes. For some reason, when I was born, my eyes were purple. I've been teased about it my whole life. I used to go to public school but my parents decieed to move to a different town and put me into the local Catholic school thinking that it'd be a better enviorment. My parents are religous but they're not bible thumpers. Unfortunately, the mass majority of this town is. Meaning that most are homophobic, against abortions and think that any music other than religous music is the Devil's music.
Back to the present. I heard quiet jeering and yelling from the front of the bus. I looked up from the window to see Alex Murphy, the bisexual. She had her head down as she walked to the back of the bus. I turned back to the window and turned up my music. A minute later I felt tapping on my shoulder. I looked up to see Alex staring at me, her eyes mad and accusing. I pulled out my right earbud.
"Can I sit there?" She asked, pointing to where my backpack was. I nodded and pulled it off the seat. I put my earbud back in and turned back to the window.
After 10 minutes we arrived at St. Mary's School. I picked up my backpack and got off the bus. I headed inside and prepare myself for a day of torment
