"Go! Go! Go! Go! Go!" The crowed cheered! The race could have been a three way tie. That is if I didn't know on the last turn you have to make a hard right unlike the other guardians I mastered hard turns since I first got my sparrow. The final turn comes and I make that hard right the other guardians don't see the turn and they slow down or ride off the track. ZOOM!! I win, again! I hear the crowd again," Cyrus! Cyrus! Cyrus!" They cheer.
"Thank you! Thank you guardians of the last safe city on earth!" I scream to them. The race is over and I collect my bounty.
"Nice race back there." I turn around to see my partner Alice.
"Oh, I didn't know you were watching. I would have made it more interesting for you.
"Don't flatter yourself." She shot back. I put my hands up in surrender. A few minutes later the Hunter vanguard came down to the club.
"I heard about the race, congrats on the last turn win." He told me." Look I'll cut to the chase. I know you are a bounty guy and so is your partner. Well the other vanguards and I need the right team for the right job." He glanced over to Alice who leaned in closer." If you can spend six months helping us and other select guardians I will reward you two years worth of bounties as a reward." I thought for a moment. I glanced at Alice who nodded her head.
"Consider it done sir!" I cheered. He stood up and I shook his hand.

"Good meet me at the hangar bay in an hour." With that he left.
"Can you believe this!" I screamed. Alice laughed at me. I can't remember the last time she laughed. I've known her for a while she saved my life on Mars so I kinda became her partner we've done bounty missions together ever since. She was the more focused one of the group and well ... I was the handsome, rugged, daredevil, hot head,playboy😎. We go to the Hall of Guardians and we find the Hunter Vanguard waiting for us. "Alright what do we have to do?" I ask.
"Tomorrow you two and 7 other guardians will meet me, the Speaker and other Vanguards to explain what you will be doing for the next six months. Right now take these." He handed us two boxes that only are ghosts could unlock." Open these in private. They are your past life memories." He informed. We left the Tower to go home to our bunkers where we opened the boxes.

Past memories
I lived in a big city, had a addict for a dad and no mom. I often went to race tracks and raced myself. I was a party master always at the coolest clubs, party's and stuff. I was never home. When my dad died I ran away, it was midnight and I snuck out of police custody and walked to the subway then took the midnight train going anywhere.

Alice's memories
I was a girl who lived in a Texas like environment. I had horses, my favorite was named Apple. I was Daddys little princess who got everything she ever wanted. When the golden age came we moved to Venus where the environment was full of life. That soon became a bustling city that had a growing economy. I had a friend who was less fortunate then me. He had no mother and his father was an addict. One day he vanished and I never saw him again.

Now
I breathed heavily it was a lot to take in. I looked into the other room to see Cyrus already out of the trance. I knock on the doorframe and he waved me in."So my life stunk. How about you?" He asked.
"I was a pampered princess." I told him.
"That seems about right." He joked. I hit him lightly." So what now?" He asked now we sleep. In the morning we go to the tower and find out why the vanguard chose us for this thing." I told him then soon went to bed.
