The next day at dinner Arabelle walked up to October.
"Ready?" she asked holding up her broom. "Meet me outside the Quidditch pitch in ten." Walking back over to her brother she ripped the food out of his hands and picked him up. "Because you're an idiot, I have to go out and race a Malfoy. You are coming with." She looked at Teddy and poked Fred in the ribs as hard as she could.
"Ouch!' he yelped and glared at her then remembered. "Oh, hey Teddy." The older boy looked up, with a sickly color to him. "You want to come with and watch?"
Teddy looked at them. "I'm sorry come watch what?" He looked over to October who was holding her own Dragon Spitfire 2000 one out of three of the new quidditch brooms. Arabelle laughed a little.
"You really haven't heard? The Malfoy girl and I have a race tonight. She insulted my brother and I don't deal with that. Besides, it will be nice to rub in her face who the better Quidditch player is. She had to buy her way on the team. Just like her father." she sneered in Octobers direction, and then turned back to Teddy. "Are you going to come?"
Teddy made a face he never made. The Malfoy sneer. He made it perfectly, and if that didn't give away that he was related to the Malfoys, he wasn't sure what would. "She has talent. You'd be surprised. You do have a challenge. I can't go. I have to wait for her to be finished with that silly race to tutor her in Defense Against the Dark Arts, so she can get into advanced by the end of first term. Till then I have potions lessons with Snape." He felt bad for being so harsh but she was his cousin. Draco accepted him and had sent him countless presents. He even had a Blazing Dragon 360 quidditch broom. Suddenly the headmistress came up. "Fred, you are to come to my office. A prank of yours has gotten you in quite the conundrum. And Arabelle, where are you going with that nimbus 2001? Never mind I have to fetch Miss Malfoy."
Arabelle felt hurt by Teddy's snap, but she was to distracted by the Headmistress.
"Professor McGonagall!" She shouted following after her favorite teacher. Professor McGonagall turned shocked.
"What Miss Weasley?" she asked. Arabelle lied quickly.
"Fred, October and I are doing a study in the library Teddy Lupin, so we can make the advanced DDA class by the end of term. We were about to leave. I had my broom, because I came straight from practice." She was not happy with the end result. She didn't want to go to the library. but she continued. "Surely the punishment can wait until tomorrow? We have no classes, it's a Saturday." Professor McGonnagal eyed her suspiciously before speaking.
"Very well, but I will escort you two and Miss Malfoy and Mr. Lupin to the library. And have your broom delivered to your room." Arabelle's face fell.
"Yes, headmistress."
McGonagall looked for a second as if she had a headache. "Teddy, Snape needs you for potions. Arabelle you can go to the library with Fred.. I'm much to busy. I need to talk to miss Malfoy, I'll send her your way once I'm done with her. I trust you can take your broom to the tower." She smiled and walked to the Slytherins. October looked a bit shocked to be needed so urgently. She followed the headmistress to her office, looking to Arabelle holding a 'one moment' sign to her.
Arabelle questioned the headmistress but Fred grabbed her and dragged her out.
"Come on, you don't have to do this. October isn't really worth it any way. Just let it go, k?" Fred begged her as she walked through the porthole.
"No Fred! If I don't do this now she'll think I'm a coward and I'll never live it down. It's too late to back out." Fred looked down.
"Well I don't know why you got so offeneded when she called me weasle B. She respected you; I didn't mind it." he mumbled. Arabelle glared at her brother.
"You don't seem to mind anything about October Malfoy! What is wrong with you!?" Fred blushed.
"Nothing I just don't have a reason to dislike her, is all." Arabelle shook her head.
"Whatever." she ran into her dormitory and put away her broom. Going back to the common room she looked at the time. Seven o'clock. "Ok, we have time to go and wait for her outside of the Headmistresses office. Let's go." The Weasley twins bolted to Proffessor McGonagall's office.
Inside October sat at a large desk. A painting of Dumbledore sat above McGonagall's desk. She looked sadly at October.... "The sorting hat had sensed a charm placed on you, to give you qualities that you don't have strongly. I had already re-done Jayymus. He is indeed a slytherin. You my dear, we will have to see." She placed the sorting hat once again on Octobers head. She held her breath.
"Ah, now I see. Brave yet cunning, courage, strength, kind loving oh smart and unique. Better be, Gryffindor." Octobers heart fell... Astronia would try to talk her father into disowning her. This was horrible... "We will transfer your quidditch position to Gryffindor, they are missing a keeper. You will have all the same classes, just a different room and house color." McGonagall waved her hand and the Slytherin emblem and Slytherin tie turned to Gryffindor. "I will contact your father...." She sighed "but you may keep one Slytherin uniform if you plan on hiding it from Astronia. Now, I believe you can use this time to become closer to your house. And congratulations on being the first set of twins to be put in a seperate house."
October walked out of the office and ran out crying.. What was she to do now?
