You watch.

As a beautiful grin spreads across her porcelain face, and a gentle breeze sways through her soft, silky locks. Her eyes shine so brightly. They're a color like any other's, yet they are one of a kind, with a vibrant hue and a spark of something new.

She's beautiful, you tell yourself, and you haven't met anyone quite like her. She's different. Odd. Unique.

How did your heart start to swell so much? When all she did was simply look your way? It was just friendship, you reassure yourself. Nothing else. That's how it has been, and that is how it shall always be. Yet, there is something screaming at you in the back of your heart. You ignore it, but for how long will you be able to deny what you feel?

Of course, her laugh, her gaze, her grin, her everything is absolutely perfect in your eyes. There's only one explanation. Love.

You love the girl. You are so crazy about her. You care more about her than you've ever cared about anyone in your whole entire life. You value her wants and needs over yours.

Yes, you were definitely in love.

She was, too.

That would explain the new found happiness she held everyday, why she glowed like the shining sun and her days of sorrow were over. She would always talk about it. Her heart felt whole and she found eternal mirthfulness.

Within someone else.

The girl you loved is in love with someone else. Someone you couldn't be.

She doesn't know that you love her. She never will.

For your love shall remain

Forever Unrequited.
