Chapter 8: Swanposter

Its another big day, It's Blondie's Just Right party, Hosted by the all time party girl; Briar Beauty and the DJ, Melody Piper.

Ofcourse everyone is coming to the party, Except, Faybelle, Courtly, Kitty and Duchess.

I'm really sad that my bestfriend/roomie, Duchess can't go with me. I'll be a lonely heart again. Basically, I am one.

Since im not together with anyone.

"Liz, Why can't I go again?" Duchess asked me wearing her all time ballerina shoes.

"Well, It says here in the invitation card, Do not bring anyone," I said showing her the sweet smelling invitation card.

"But what if.."

"What if?"

She ran to the dressing room and changed, I really don't know what she's doing. I waited for a couple of minutes, Until she got out of the dressing room.

"I can dress up as Briar so I can get in! Since she is the host; she doesn't need an invitation card! How spelltacular is that idea?" She said.

"Wow Duchess, you really look like Briar" I said wearing my heels.

" I stole Raven's magic spell to make me look like Briar," She said showing me a bag of sparkly silver dust.

"I really dont know about this," I said sounding scared.

"Don't worry, trust me" She said opening the door.

22 minutes later, we reached the party place, It was full of yellow and blue pastel ribbons all around.

Hopper was the one who checks the invitation cards.

I showed him mines and he let me enter, Duchess was about to pass by when..

"Stop, Briar wheres your invitation card?" Hopper asked.

"Uh..I left it on the dorms but I am the host, and ofcourse, the party can't start without me" She said crossing her arms.

"Fine then," Hopper said letting Briar pass through.

"Fwew that was a close one" I said.

"That was really easy passing through him, I can just kiss him and he'd already let me in" Duchess said laughing.

"Who would kiss a frog?" I asked laughing a little bit.

"YUCK! NO WAY!!" Duchess said blasting her tongue.

"Relax, for a girl like you, I know you wouldn't do that"

"Wow, you really know me" She said hugging me.

"Ofcourse" I said hugging back.

"BRIAR! THERE YOU ARE! I've been finding you everywhere, The party is about to start so come on!" Blondie said pulling Duchess.

"Goodluck," I whispered.

She was enjoying the party, but not that part when she had to host the games. I literally laughed at her.

"IMPOSTER!"

There was a silence between partygoers. And ofcourse I acted like I didn't know anything.

"Im the real Briar Beauty!" Briar said showing her rare party invitation card.

Then feathers were falling off Duchess' skirt. Blondie seemed to notice.

"DUCHESS!" Blondie shouted as Duchess went back to her real self.

All people were shocked by what happened. I ran away to the restrooms to hide, I feel bad for her but I knew that it was such a crazy idea to act like someone else.

I called Duchess to make sure she'd be fine, But she didn't pick it up.

I went out of the restrooms, only to find out she's outside, crying, and ignoring her phone calls.

I went out and sat beside her.

"Leave me alone," She said as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"Duchess, I knew from the very start this would be a really terrible idea" I told her.

"I know, I might be wrong but you could've supported me when-"

Blondie cut off her words. "Lizzie! There you are! Come on,  join the party".

Blondie dragged me back inside, leaving Duchess outside.

I seriously didn't think that Blondie would do such thing as kicking Duchess off the party and embarrasing her infront of people.

Thats so not just right, I felt that and its really hard being hated. And all the drama flowing everywhere.
