A bright day was born on the scandinavian peninsule, the chirping of the birds told the people in the village that it was time to wake up. This village i talk about is a village of vikings, situated right beside the cold northern sea; and composed of 3 different tribes, ruled by 3 different families (Oxenstierna, Bondevik, Køhler). As the villagers woke up, everyone resumed to their daily activities, except for the men who were due to arrive this day from their one month long campaign.
On the border of the river, a young female named (f/n) Oxenstierna mused a song while washing the clothes as she awaited for the arrival of her brother and the other men.She was about to finish her current activity when a cracking sound nearby caught her attention; turning around, she didn't see anything, but something inside her head told her that she couldn't trust her eyes this time. Quickly wiping her hands on her (f/c) dress, she turned and started running to the opposite direction of the one from where the sound had come; leaving the clothes and the basket behind, she ran deeper and deeper into the forest, always hearing the cracking and thumping sound of people pursuing her.Back to the village, the ships carrying the male vikings had come alongside. Happiness filled over everyone with all the reencounters, families and friends reunited; in the middle of all of this commotion stood Berwald Oxenstierna, one of the 3 leaders, a frown placed on his face as looked around in search of his younger sister."Looking for your sister, my dear?" A voice that he recognised as his grandmother's sounded. His simple nod caused a smile to flourish on the woman's face as she added: "She went to wash the clothes, you shoul go see her, since she won't be finished anytime soon."With a last sign of ackowledgement, he started walking towards the spot where his sister was supposed to be."Wait, i'm going with you!" Yelled Matthias Køhler, running to catch up with the taller blond, more eager than anyone else to see the (h/c) haired girl. Why was the danish so eager to see her, you ask? In all true, several years prior, both the Oxenstierna female and the Køhler male had fallen in love with each other; after a while, the engagement of the two had been greatly celebrated by the villagers.Anyway... back to the story. Both males calmly walked (or, in Denmark's case, happily skipped) to the place where women usually washed the clothes. When they arrived their destination, the sight caused them to instinctively grab their weapons; the basket had been knocked over and the garments and clothes were spread all over and someone had clearly stomped on them."They're too big to be hers." Stated the swedish, carefully examining the footsteps marked on the clothes."An attack, and right when she was alone!" Growled Matthias, tightening the grip on his axe.Berwald nodded without a word as he thought about what they should do."We should go back to the village and get help." Said the swedish, getting back up on his feet."You go warn them." Said the danish. "I'll follow the trail; Odin knows what's happening to her!"And so, with a last glance at each other, Berwald took off running back to the vilage while Matthias walked at a fast pace on the trail left by the unknown invaders.(F/n) was getting tired, having been running for so long now, but she couldn't stop, not now; she, despite being a female, was a viking, she refused to go down without a fight, if the running didn't work. Loud grunts echoed through the thick forest, looking behind, she could see them gaining or her; if things continued like this, she would be capturred. She kept on running, jumping and crawling in a desperate try to escape her pursuers, until...Not noticing a low branch on her way, she tripped on it, ending up rolling down a hill covered with sharp rocks. A loud cry erupted from her throat as she felt the rocks cutting and scratching her soft skin, her head bumped on a tree trunk once she reached the step of the hill and stopped rolling; she was now too dizzy and bruised to run, she couldn't even stand properly. Before she could notice, the group of invaders, probably germanic from what she could tell, surrounded her frail form.Matthias never stopped for a second, always worrying over a certain Oxenstierna female. His senses were on the highest level as he searched frantically for any sign of her presence; that was when a girly cry reached his ears, it wasn't too far from his current position from what he could tell. Almost immediately recognizing the timber of the crying voice, he stopped walking at a fast pace to start running as fast as he could in order to reach and save his beloved from whoever had dared to enter these lands and pursue the person he held dearest to his heart. Only 2 things went through the danish's head as he ran deeper into the dark forest: first, he hoped from his heart that he could reach (f/n) in time to save her; and second, whoever the invaders were, they would pay for their actions.
