Once upon a time, two peaceful kingdoms ruled the surface, humans, and monsters. One day, the humans declared war upon the monsters. Through the battle, many monsters perished and the humans in the end stood victorious. To keep the monsters away from human life, seven human magicians trapped the monsters underground with a magical wall that was called, The Barrier. They sealed the barrier on the exit of the underground with an incredible power of seven human souls. The monsters now dream that one day, they will see the sunlight once more.
-Many years later...-
A small child skipped through the bushes on mount Ebbott, a mountain that contained the entrance to the underground, earning a reputation as a mountain of no return. As the child hopped around happily giggling, the child stopped suddenly and stared into a large crater. It was as dark as the abyss at the bottom. The child inched forward hoping to catch a glimpse of the legendary monsters, when suddenly, a root caught the foot of the child by surprise. The child shrieked as she slid down the slope, plummeting into the pit. Then, everything was black.
