Melina's POV: I woke up to the sun shining in my room and the birds chirping. I looked at the clock to see that it was almost 7:30. I quickly got up and changed into my running clothes. I wrote two notes because I'm not sure where they were going to check first. I taped one to my door and put the other one on the fridge. I grabbed a water bottle and went out to the front of the house. I decided to run in the direction of the Duggar's. I started off in that direction and looked around me. To the right of me was some trees and to the left of me was the land that separated the two houses. I reached the Duggar's in no time and kept on going. I saw someone outside but couldn't make out who it was. I kept going for another ten or so minutes when I decided to turn around. I stopped for a second and downed half of my water bottle. I caught my breath and started jogging back to my house.

Once I got there I drank the rest of my water and walked into the kitchen to throw it away. Both mom and dad were up by this time. I gave mom a kiss on the cheek and fixed dad collar as I walked past. He just laughed at me. I ran up the stairs and into the bathroom. I took a really fast shower and then went to my room to get ready. I decided to wear black pants that went just past my knees with a grey tank top under a red and black flannel. For shoes I wore my favorite black vans and I put my hair in a side braid. I grabbed a few things I wanted to take with me today and walked downstairs. "I'm going to walk over. Love you guys." I gave them both a kiss on the cheek and walked out the door.

I made the short trip to their house and knocked on the door. Jedidiah came and opened the door. "Hey. Come on in. Sorry about the noise. We're trying to get the little ones up but they aren't cooperating." He told me as I came in. "It's okay. Do you want some help?" I ask. "That would be great. It's my job to get up Jordyn and Josie. They always stick me with the two youngest because I'm one if the only ones with any patience around here." I nod as he leads me upstairs. There was only four doors up here. "I know. Lack of rooms. We have the kids split into four groups. Girls that are 8 and younger are in this first room. Boys that are 13 and younger are in that room over there and then the rest of the girls are in that one and same with the boys in the last room."

I nodded. He walked up to the younger girls door which was closed. He knocked on the door. "Is everyone good?" I heard a girl say yeah so he opened the door and walked in. I saw one of the older girls, Jinger I think, get up two of the girls. "Mel said she'd help me get up these two." The girl nodded and walked out holding her two girls hands. "Would you mind getting Josie? She's easier to wake up." I nodded and walked over to the youngest girl. I crouched down next to the bed and started to rub her arm. "Josie. Come on princess. You have to get up now." I said softly. She slowly opened her eyes and I could see that she had big brown eyes. I reached over and picked her up from her bed. "Does she need to be dressed right now?" I asked Jed. "Not right now. One of the older girls will deal with that later."

He said as he finally gave up on trying to get Jordyn to stand up, resulting in him just picking her up. We both walked out of the room and went down stairs to the kitchen so the girls could eat. I stayed standing with Josie while Jed set Jordyn down in a chair at the island. I bounced Josie trying to get her to stay awake as she was falling back asleep. I was successful because she finally kept her eyes open. I set her down in the chair that had a booster seat in it so she could reach the table. "You're really good with kids you know." Jed told me. "I try." I said making both of us crack up. "Have you eaten yet?" He asked me. "Actually no I haven't." I said. He pulled out a chair. "Well then sit down. Mom makes enough to feed an army." I giggled at his statement and sat down in the chair he pulled out for me. "Do you know what she is making?" I ask, hoping that my SPD won't act up today. "Pancakes with bacon and toast." One of the girls told me. I should be okay then. A bunch of the older girls started bringing in plates for everyone. I look to see if everyone has their plates because I won't eat until everyone has a plate. Once everyone has their plate I grab the nearest bottle of syrup and pour a little bit on my pancakes. I start to eat and when I am finished I sit in my chair and wait until everyone is done. I don't know why I do this. I thinks it's just a respect thing that I made up in my mind.
