He Sleep Talks

 Blue falls asleep next to me, passing out instantly. I, on the other hand, am wide awake. I hate insomnia, I really do. What feels like hours passed until the silence is broken by a voice "Error..." It calls happily. I shift to see what made the noise, it's Blueberry. He's smiling like a fool. I already knew that Blueberry sleep talks, but, I've never tried responding to his sleep rambles.

"What about Error, Blueberry?" I ask, wanting to know what he's dreaming about.. "I really like Error..." he says happily. I'm confused by this, he "really likes me"? I... don't really understand how anyone can "really like me". I want to know more, might as well investigate. "What do you like about Error?" I ask. "Everything~" He says, happily. This makes me about as confused as when I first woke up in the void. "Is Error a good friend?" I ask, surely he can't say yes to this. "Yeah... I love him~" He smiles a bit more.

I blush, he... loves me? How.... But... He's so.... And I'm... You know what? Fuck it, he won't remember this tomorrow. "Error loves you too..." I say. His smile grows even wider. He snuggles up closer and I blush more, hugging him. I sigh quietly, I really don't understand the other me's sometimes. I think, gradually drifting to sleep. It seeming easy now.

I wake up to see big blue eyes staring at me. "Hey Error! Did you sleep well? I hope you had good dreams! I had a really good one... you were there!" the muffin says, I notice I'm still holding him and quickly let go. "I-uh, yeah... I... slept well." I say, my voice glitching slightly, but nothing too unusual. "Hey um Blue? Did you know that you sleep talk?" I say, nervous. He looks at me, but nods slightly, "Papy said I say some weird things when I'm asleep." He says. I nod, and scratch the back of my head. "Yeah, um you were saying some weird stuff last night." I say, my face goes a little yellow with blush. His expression seems to fall into the category of 'Oh shit'.

"... What did I say?" he asks, afraid of something. "That you..." I think quickly, "That you love Papyrus." I say quickly. Blueberry sighs, relieved. "Oh... yeah of course!" He says. We both feel awkward. I look at him the same time he looks at me. Neither of us can look away now that we've made eye contact. There's tension in the air as I stare at him, searching his eyes for anything that would give away how he really felt about me.

We continue to sit there in silence before I finally look away, hiding in my face in my hood. When I finally look at him, he's close, like, REALLY close. "Wh-What are you-" He moves forward quickly, planting a small kiss on my mouth. He moves away even more quickly "I'm sorry! I shouldn't have done that, it's just-" I kiss him back, shutting him up. "Mpph!" a noise escapes from his mouth. He tenses, before relaxing into the kiss. It feels like magic, everything I've ever wanted in one single moment. I eventually end the kiss, pulling away. "I love you, Error." he says, happily. I smile at him. "I know." I say, my voice soft as I hug him, crying. "I love you too, Blue." I whisper, hugging him tight and crying quietly into his shoulder. "... Why are you crying, Erry?" he asks me. "You're the only one's who-*sniff* who's ever.... Who's ever loved me..." I say quietly. "You're the only monster I've ever cared about..." I say, holding him tighter, burying my face in his shoulder. He rubs circles in my back, which makes me feel slightly better

Eventually. Blueberry pulls away and smiles at me. He moves away, I grab him by his shirt. "Don't go...." I say, still an emotional trainwreck. "I'm not going anywhere." He says quietly, gently pressing his forehead against mine. "I won't ever leave you Error." He says, pulling away and caressing my cheek. "I promise." I smile a little bit, "thank you..." I say quietly. I hug him close to me, he hugs back. "I love you too much to leave you..." he whispers.

This triggers something, something I've been holding in for a long time. "You should, you should get away from me... I'm... not safe..." I tell him. He shakes his head, "I love you, and no matter what the danger is, I'll face it with you, and you'll see how much I really, truly love you, which, I do." He says. I look at him and laugh a bit, "Heh... you... I-I don't wanna hurt you. Please, I can take you back home, forget about me." I say, crying. "Please... forgot about me... Please, I couldn't live with myself if I hurt you..." I say, looking down at my knees. "Please..." I repeat again. "No. Even though you may have kidnapped me, I'm the one who said that I thought you needed a friend. Now, stop trying to change my mind. It's not going to wor-" I cut him off by snapping a portal to underswap under him. "I'm sorry Blue... I can't do this." I say, closing the portal right before hearing "Error! Don-"

It's too late.
