Ribbons the Fire Sylveon

Prologue~A Special Eevee

Ribbons was born at a garage sale and at the time her name was Silver. No one believed Silver was special or worth anything. Pretty soon all her brothers and sisters were sold and left her in the box. Silver winced and looked at her coat. She knew why she hadn't been bought. It was because she was a shiny. Only rich people could afford a shiny eevee like her. 

"Mom I want that one!" Silver looked up and her eyes met the ones of a little girl in two pigtails looking at her in awe. "A shiny eevee!? Oh, I've been searching for one forever!" The mom said. Silver noticed her diamond necklace and pearl earrings and guessed she must be a person of great fortune. 

"How much for her?" The mom said. "100 dollars!" Silver's breeder said. "Sold." The woman handed the breeder the money as the little girl picked Silver up. "Hi, I'm Isabella." The little girl said. "Come along, sweetie." Isabella's mom said. They all got into a blue car and drove away. 

"Do you know what you're going to name your new Pokemon, Isabella?" Isabella's mom asked from the drivers seat. Silver sat down next to Isabella, happy she finally had a home. "Of course! I've been thinking about it forever! Her name is Ribbons!" 

"Why Ribbons?" "Because I want her to evolve into a Sylveon!" Isabella said. Ribbons smiled as she always liked Sylveons herself. Even wanting to become one. And she did. On Isabella's 8th birthday while doing tricks for the guests Ribbons evolved into a Sylveon. To the guests it was great entertainment but to Ribbons it was the best gifts to give to Isabella. 

Everything was right in Ribbons life. Until the day Isabella's family found out about Ribbons special talents. It was Isabella's third battle with Ribbons and it was against the rich neighbors Leafeon, Forest. Forest was about to win and Isabella was stressed. Their family had made a bet: Ribbons vs Forest. If Ribbons won, their family would take the neighbors yard. But if Forest won, her owners would take Isabella's father's Flareon their family's prized Pokemon.

"Forest, use Energy Ball!" Forests owner said. The attack headed straight for Ribbons who was laying on the floor, weak. "Ribbons!" Isabella shouted. Her owner's shout of worry had awaked her and with her last bit of fighting energy, launched a powerful Flamethrower at Forest. 

Forest took a direct hit and collapsed on the floor, unconscious. "Forest is unable to battle. Ribbons wins." The referee said. "What! That's not possible! Your Sylveon is a fairy type not a fire type!" Forests owner said. "Well I guess she just knows fire moves!" 

That night Ribbons was on her way to bed when she heard Isabella and her parents talking. "You can't get rid of her!" "Ribbons is really rare. If news got out she knows fire moves all hunters would be attacking our house." "Selling Ribbons to a Pokemon breeder means she and us'll be safe." Selling me!? Ribbons thought. 

She heard footsteps. Ribbons quickly ran to her pet room. Isabella soon came. "Ribbons you have to run away." "Slyve-eon." "It's the only way. Visit me okay." Isabella opened the window wide enough for Ribbons to fit. "Flar!" Their Flareon, Torch, said in disapproval. "Slyve." Ribbons said in goodbye. She wrapped her feelers around Isabella as a hug. Then jumped through the window. 

Ribbons ran and ran until she was at the hillside. She turned back and saw Isabella and her mother and father in front of their mansion waving goodbye sadly. 

"SLY-VEON!" Ribbons shouted as a goodbye. She turned and leaped out of sight. Isabella wiped her tears. "I will see you again Ribbons." 

Yay! My first Pokemon fanfic. I'm so happy! I'm doing a contest for this story: you can have your Pokemon oc in this story and I'll give you credit for it. The rules are... 1) it has to be a small Pokemon. 2) it can be electric, fire, fairy or ice type. 3) the animal can be a mouse, rabbit, cat, squirrel, fox, or dog. 4) it can be shiny or normal. 5) it cannot evolve (ex. Dedenne or Emolga) And 6) you may enter more than one oc but the limit is two  THE CONTEST ENDS SUNDAY MAY 8th!
