Annabelle's POV
I sighed as I adjusted my shirt and put Braelynn back in the little crib that Ronnie let me use for the time being. I had been here for about a month now and things were different. Nobody acted the same around me. Ronnie was scared to touch me and Mags always looked at me with pity. Ronnie had told her and Alex what happened, but Dustin and Oliver were clueless.
During this past month, I have done a few photo shoots. I've been trying to work more, but things with Braelynn have just been so exhausting and I have no choice but to take her with me when I work out of the house. Not a lot of people want a photographer with an eight month old baby showing up.
Oh I almost forgot to tell you! Braelynn said her first word and I actually got it on video! It was last week and she said bun-bun cuz she was trying to crawl to her bunny across the floor, which was also another first. Ronnie was sitting on the couch with Willow that day and she just started crawling and we had to get it on video. I was bawling my eyes out later that night because Andy wasn't there to see either one of those things.
I haven't talked to Andy since the day I left. I have no idea if he's gotten help or what condition he's in. He hasn't tried to contact me either and I'm starting to get worried. Maybe I should go see how he's doing. I looked down at the peacefully sleeping baby and smiled. Don't worry Braelynn, I know daddy's getting better. He's getting better for us. I walked out of the room and went downstairs. I slipped on some heels and let Christy know that I was going to go talk to Andy.
"Are you sure it's a good idea to visit him?" I sighed and adjusted my purse on my shoulder.
"I honestly don't know, but I think he deserves to know how his daughter is doing. He is my husband and father of my child after all." She nodded and gave me a hug.
"I'll watch over Braelynn. Please be careful." I smiled and nodded my head. I went outside and got into my car, taking a deep breath as I started it and drove off to Andy and I's home. Our home hasn't felt like a home for a good seven months now. People say home is where the heart is, but what if the heart is in the one who is hurting you? I shook my head and turned on the radio.
My love for you was bulletproof
But you're the one who shot me!Oh Pierce the Veil, you sure know how to make the perfect song for every moment. I haven't talked to Vic in forever, maybe I can set up a photo shoot for the band. The house started to show up in the distance. Oh god, I'm not ready. Andy's car was parked in the driveway right next to another one I didn't recognize. Who the hell is here? I pulled up into the driveway and got out of my car, taking deep breaths as I looked at the car when I walked by. I walked up to the door and knocked hard on it, just in case he was doing something that would've made it hard to hear the door.
"Just a second!" I heard him yell from the inside and my heart started to race as my breathing picked up. Oh no, I should leave. I started to turn to walk off the porch, but the door opened, making me freeze. "Can I help you?" I cleared my throat and stood up straight, turning back to him. He was wearing a plain black t shirt and skinny jeans. The same old look I have loved for so many years. His eyes were wide and he dropped his arms limp to his sides.
"Hey Andy." He jumped at me, threw his arms around me, and squeezed me tight. I squeezed him back and he rocked us back and forth, then lifted me off the ground and spun around. When he set me back down, he started planting kisses all over my face.
"Oh my god Annabelle, I have missed you so much." I giggled and grabbed his face, smashing his lips on mine. His hands fell to my waist and he pulled me closer to him so I was pressed up against him with no space between. He pulled away and cupped my jaw in his hands. "This doesn't even feel real."
