"Townsley, will you?"

I'm awaken from my morning nap by Eli's dad, Mr. Johnson. I look to my left to see Eli, his nutmeg eyes staring into my hazel eyes. I could tell he was still trying recover from the drowsiness of waking up from his morning snooze. Today, He was rocking a baby blue jean jacket that was buttoned up with some black skinny jeans and some black vans, a typical outfit for one of the most popular boys in school, but it did work well with his work-in-progress-tan and brown cropped hair.

"Earth to Towns?"

I hear Mr. Johnson say again, so I direct my attention back to him, "Can you repeat that Mr. Johnson?"

I question due to not hearing him the first time. "I said," he huffed, upset I wasn't listening the first time "Will you and Eli go show the new student around the school?" New student? I wasn't expecting this especially so close to winter break.

"We got this Towns, right?" Eli finally adding something into the conversation.

"Right." I replied uncertain what was going on still, but I just went with it.

"Great, you and Elliot will meet with him at the front of the school. Give him a tour of the building and show him his classes, and please do make sure he feels welcomed." Mr. Johnson explained to us.

"Dad, I don't think we need a briefing on how to welcome a new kid, we got this." Eli informed his father. I nodded in agreement I then got up from my seat, Eli in suit and started to exit the library, where we spend every morning sleeping until classes start. Eli holds the door open for me when we exit the library and I hold the front entrance door for him, to be polite.

When we walk out we see a fairly tall boy awkwardly standing there, with piercing turquoise eyes, messy dirty blonde hair and, a tan skin tone to him. His eyes captured me the most, I felt like they were looking into my soul and could read me so easily. The boy was wearing a nice green shirt, maroon loafers and tan jeans rolled up a little bit. He had full on square black rimmed glasses, which suited his face well. He was pretty cute in my opinion, but was way out of my league.

"Hello! I'm Elliot Johnson but you can call me Eli, and this is Townsley Grey." Eli introduced us both with an open smile and a hand out to shake, while I gave him a shy one. The boy returned our smiles with a small one of his and shook Eli's hand.

"The names Victor, but you can just call me Vic." The boy, Vic said. Vic was a good nickname and it reminded me of one of my best friend's name, since he had the misfortune of having his first name as Atlas, we called him by a shorten version of his middle name; Sam.

"Nice to meet you Vic, we were asked to show you around and show you your classes are." I inform Vic.

"Let's get started then." He says. We all turn around, Eli leading us into the building to show Vic around.

By the time we made it back to the front, kids were pouring into the school. I look around to find my other close friends; Iris and Sam, but just with my luck, I don't see them anywhere. "Oh by the way Vic we have second and fifth block together." I say remembering what Vic's schedule was.

"Sounds great I'll see you then." Vic says and starts to head off where we showed him his first period classroom was.

"Shit I forgot to tell him he can sit with us at lunch." Eli says.

"It's fine dude we'll just call him over and plus I have fifth block which is in the middle of lunch, I'll lead him." I reply reassuring Eli. He looks slightly relieved after be saying this, which makes me feel better. I then head off to my locker to start off my day.
