Chapter 1: Living One Big Lie

The whole book will be Aya's POV.

I rub my eyes.

Aya:Why are they so loud....

I slowly get up from my bed. Swore from watching anime all night. 

I slip on my slippers and open the door.

Aya:*sigh*

Mom and Dad:HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!

Aya:aah

I forgot it was my birthday......

I jumped from the surprise.I hate surprises and my parents do this every year. And every year they give me a freakin heart attack. Like do you want me to die or something....?

I calm down BUT still mad.
I make a innocent face trying to hide my anger.

Aya:Thanks mom, thanks dad. 

Mom:Your welcome honey. Come downstairs when your done changing alright.....today is a big day for you.

She smiles and me and so does dad. But I swear I saw dad look worried.

They left a few seconds later leaving me confused.

Aya:Thats strange. I wonder why dad had that worried face.....
Oh well time to change.

I take a quick stretch and get ready for school.

Aya:Uniform...check. Backpack..check. Pretty much all the things I need....

I brush my bed hair and head downstairs.

I see dad still looking worried and.... Mom is all over the place.

Aya:U guys...alright?

Dad looks up and me surprised then looks at my mom.

Mom stops what she's doing and looks at dad.

She takes some papers out from the drawer and flips them over.

Mom:You got the candles and the lighter?

Dad:...yah

Mom looks at me and smiles.

Mom:ok.....honey.Today is a special say for you.

Aya:.....

She takes out the cake and places it carefully on the table. I walk over to them and sit down.

Dad places the candles and lights them.

Mom:Okay honey. Now make a wish...

Aya:Okay

I close my eyes.
I wish huh?....It wouldn't come true but oh well. I wish.....
I wish...someone...would just understand me. 

I open my eyes and blow the candles.

I hope it comes true.

I look up and see my mom crying and dad is comforting her.

Aya:Mom?

She gets up with a serious expression and gets the papers she took out.

She walks back to us and puts the papers down on the table.

Mom:We...your father and I have been talking.......we.......we think you are ready to know the truth.

Aya:What are-

Dad:Please let your mother explain.

Mom:.......listen. You were adopted. We.....we found you on a side walk just lying there. People walked around you like if you weren't there. We got you and took you home with us. We gave you a bath....we gave you what you deserved. A family, a home. The next day we called  child services. We found your parents but....they thought it'd be best if you stayed with us.

Aya:That explains why I always feel unwanted.....

Dad:Hey we tried. Your mother was in a lot of pain.

Aya:Sorry it just all makes sense now....

Mom:Your real parents are good people Aya. They didn't have a the money to get you the things you need.

Aya:Are they fine now?

Mom:...yes they have three kids, a house, they are fine.

Dad:Aya they want you back. They want you part of they're family again.

Mom:We know this is a lot to take in and all confusing. But if you don't figure out yourself you will be lost when your older. We want you to think hard on this okay?

Aya:Okay. But....

Tears started run down my cheeks.

Aya:No matter what I do you guys will always be my mom and dad.Please remember that.

Mom:Oh honey. We will always be here when you need us.

She ran to me and gave me a hug and so did dad.

Mom:Look you don't have to go to school today alright. Calm down, take things slow. Tomorrow your father and I are going to take you to them. To ask questions and such.

I gave them a smile and walked upstairs. I stopped and looked at them.

Aya:Mom?Dad?

Mom:Yes?

Aya:I.....I love you guys.

Mom and Dad:And we love you too.

I walk upstairs and throw myself on my bed.

Aya:What a life you have Aya Sakai. Story of my life.

Time passed by.I calmed down and decided to go downstairs and eat some cake. °.*\( ˆoˆ )/*.°

My favorite kind of cake. ICECREAM CAKE!!╥﹏╥ Mom and Dad you know me so well.

A few minutes later mom and dad came with presents.

Mom:PRESENT TIME!

Dad:Appreciate our effort.....

This was his face.... (╥╯﹏╰╥)ง

Aya:Guts you really didn't have to... ҉٩(*´︶'*)۶҉

Mom:Oh yes we did.

Dad:we did.......?

Mom gave him a deadly glare.

I was just laughing in the background......

Mom:Open the small one first.....

Aya:Okay

I opened it and found something incredible.....

Aya:IM IN HEAVEN! A HUGE BOX OF LIKE 50 MANGAS........ OR MORE.....

I run to them saying thank you hugging them to dead.

Dad:Okay okay. Now...open the last one.

Im so darn curious....*-*

I open the last one.

I froze.... I really.....I had no words.

Aya:A photo album...

Mom:A photo album of you as a baby till now....

I open the the photo album smiling at the good memories, and just starring at me as a baby.......she looks lonely yet she has a family, a home.

Aya:Mom dad you didn't have to.

Mom and Dad:We know.

Dad looks at his watch.

Dad:I think we should go to sleep. Tomorrow's going to be a LONG day.

Aya:Yah...well goodnight guys.

Mom say dad:goodnight.

I walk upstairs. Stretch. Change to my pajamas and lay on my bed.

Aya:Today I felt a lot of emotions. Mixed emotions. I can't quite explain.Tomorrow will be a better day.....

I start to feel sleepy and quickly fall into a deep sleep.
